Fonteneau & Co. was borne by a love for fine cabinetry and classic furniture making that could be applied in a variety of projects. Our cabinetry is for individuals and families who are design conscious with a focus on functionality and lasting value. We believe well-made, long-lasting, beautiful cabinetry should be in reach for a variety of design aesthetics and budgets and we are honored to provide a foundation to creating spaces that are well loved... Fonteneau & Co. is led by its founder, Mickael Fonteneau, in our shop located in Virginia just outside of the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Originally from France, Mickael studied cabinetry and furniture making under the European guild system of the Compagnons du Devoir and successfully completed his studies by becoming a Maitre Artisan Ebeniste, or master cabinet maker. With over twenty years of experience, Mickael has had the pleasure of managing projects for esteemed French companies such as Rinck Groupe before opening his own..
