Ffion Môn Roberts

For 10 years Ffion worked as a one to one teaching assistant in numerous schools on Ynys Môn before see decided to pursue a career in working with Deaf people. Ffion was bought up around Deaf family which inspired her to learn British Sign Language. She has taken her want to learn seriously and has recently completed her Level 4 BSL certificate and is well on her way to completing her degree in Deaf Studies and BSL. Ffion understands the importance of language in her life and to the people around her. A fluent Welsh speak Ffion also uses her sign language every day to communicate with her partner. In the future, she hopes to work towards her Level 6 and interpreting level. Ffion's spare time sees her enjoying and spending time with family. She is also an avid cat lover.

Kerry Scanlon

Kerry joined the COS in 2001 and eventually became the office administrator. Over her many years of service has supported staff and taken on extra roles which have included the Family Support Officer for one of the North Wales counties. "I did for many years and enjoyed watching the families grow up and achieve wonderful things in their lives." Since 2020 alongside her role as administrator Kerry became the Volunteer Co-ordinator with the Live Well with Hearing Loss Project. Where she recruits volunteers to support people with a hearing loss as part of the befriending aspect of the service. Kerry is a qualified Youth Mental Health First Aider Trainer, as well as having an NVQ Level 3 in Business and Administration, NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service, Level 3 in Advice and Guidance, CACDP Level 2 in BSL. Kerry is an avid Formula 1 supporter and a devoted Liverpool football fan. She enjoys spending time with my family and friends. Kerry has four grown up sons and a granddaughter who keeps her very busy. In her spare time Kerry enjoys reading, watching films, dancing and keeping fit. Kerry is a BSL user

Stephanie Hill

Job Titles:
  • Business Support Manager
After moving from Lancashire to North Wales in 2008, Steph joined COS as the Executive Assistant. Her previous experience as an Operations Manager and Project Manager allowed Steph to bring a fresh approach enabling the streamlining and improvement of the day to day management of the office. As part of her role as the Business Support manager Steph took over the management of the Communication Support Service team. Steph became a part of the Management Team along with four other managers which successfully help COS transition to the place it is today. Recently qualifying as a YMHFA trainer, currently studying BSL Level 2, first aider, point of contact for H&S, Steph is always keen to improve her skills. Steph is kept occupied by her young son. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and going to the occasional boxing class, Steph also has an interest in football and is a lifelong Manchester United fan.
