THE COMMS DOCTOR - Key Persons

Wesley Ward

With over 40 years of communicating science to audiences across Australia and overseas, I can help you better communicate your research. I love connecting research and people I have worked in science communication for over 40 years. I started using research as an agriculture teacher in 1981. I started working directly with researchers at the University of the South Pacific. I first saw real research impact with the South Pacific Regional Environment Programme in Samoa. I connected people to real world research at Charles Sturt University. See my Linked In profile for details: www.linkedin.com/in/wesley-ward I understand research Since completing a PhD, I have regularly published in academic journals on my research into improving communication and collaboration in local and international research teams. See my recent publications here: www.orcid.orgt I want to connect people with research ideas, regardless of where they are and with whom they intend to talk. I want to help show our society the value of research in their daily lives, particularly its impact. I want to help early and mid-career researchers in universities, research institutes, and national and overseas agencies to become more effective communicators. After all, they are the future of science I am currently a member of Australian Science Communicators, the international Association for Information Sciences and Technology, and the Ecological Society of Australia. www.asc.asn.au | www.asist.org | www.ecolsoc.org.au Working with different cultures is my passion I have lived and worked overseas for many years. I love what research can do for people and the planet everywhere. Regional Australia is special to me In particular, I can help develop communication products and services that promote research in agriculture and natural resource management in regional Australia. I build teams I can gather professional teams comprising videographers, graphic designers, podcasters, artists, printers or sign builders to implement your communication plan.
