Dr. Mohammad Lawendy

Dr. Mohammad Lawendy was born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo in 2006. He first became acquainted with optics in 2007 when he completed a diploma in Ophthalmic Dispensing and Contact Lens Fitting from the BC College of Optics, followed by his degree in Optometry at Aston University, in Birmingham, United Kingdom in 2013. He graduated with first class honours and completed a one-year internship in Plymouth, UK in private practice, focusing on Primary Care, Ocular Disease Management, Pediatrics, Dry Eye Disease and Contact Lenses. In addition to private practice, Dr. Lawendy interned at the Plymouth Royal Eye Infirmary Hospital, where he participated in a range of specialties including Acute Referral Care, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Corneal Disease and Pediatrics. Dr. Lawendy has a keen interest in Dry Eye Disease, Progressive Myopia Control, and specialised contact lenses such as Ortho-K and Scleral Lenses. Dr. Lawendy is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists and the Ontario Association of Optometrists. He is married and has three kids that keep him busy. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, hiking, camping and horseback riding for leisure. He is an active member of the London community and enjoys the beauty of the forest city.
