George U. Brooks, III

Mr. Brooks was born in Lynchburg, Virginia. He graduated from James Madison University where he majored in history and political science. While attending James Madison University, he was president of his fraternity, Sigma Nu, as well as president of Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society. He moved to Williamsburg and attended the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary. He began clerking for Jim Wood in 1986 and began practicing law in 1989. He is a member of the Williamsburg-James City County Bar Association and the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. He specializes in criminal, DUI and traffic defense. In addition, his area of practice includes personal injury claims, automobile accidents, real estate, uncontested divorces, wills and trusts, power of attorney (POA), civil suits, guardianship and conservatorship, child support, custody, and visitation matters.
