JOE - Key Persons

Joe Gelber holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan as well as a Master's in Business Administration from Cornell Tech. In Joe's role at L'Oréal, he was responsible for creating an automatized reporting system by using data analytics, coding, and SQL to facilitate the flow of business operations, enhance decision making, and improve company efficiency. He also has experience developing optimization models and algorithms for the career services center at Cornell Tech to match 200+ students with prospective employers for blitz interview sessions. Joe also has expertise in the areas of product management and operations. In terms of his product management experience, throughout his MBA, Joe has provided support to help businesses bring products to fruition. For example, he assisted in the development of a data science platform for nonprofit businesses created by Domino Data Lab, Inc. In addition, Joe developed an extensive marketing strategy for Kando, a wastewater management solutions company. Through these experiences, Joe understood the challenges associated with growing a business including customer communication, market research, and testing and pivoting of ideas. Joe is also adept in the operations field. As a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Joe is well equipped to manage the overall business operations required to build this product. His working background in the supply chain industry provides him with the tools necessary to understand the logistical concerns of customers and problem-solve accordingly. Most importantly, Joe brings passion and a relentless desire to make the world more sustainable!
