Axel Ockenfels is a Professor of Economics at the University of Cologne. He also is Director of the Cologne Laboratory of Economic Research, Speaker of the "University of Cologne Excellence Center for Social and Economic Behavior " (C-SEB), and Coordinator of the DFG research unit "Design & Behavior". Born in Germany, Ockenfels is considered one of the most influential German economists, both in fundamental research and in practical market design.
Ockenfels is a Diploma holder in Economics from the University of Bonn in 1994. He earned his doctoral degree in economics from the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg in 1998. He publishes in leading journals in economic, particularly behavioral and design economics, but also in business administration, information systems, psychology, and sociology, as well as in application-oriented outlets.

Benita Ferrero-Waldner is an Austrian diplomat, politician, and a member of the conservative Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Ferrero-Waldner served as the Foreign Minister of Austria and was the candidate of the Austrian People's Party in Austrian presidential election, 2004. She served as the European Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy, and as the European Commissioner for Trade and European Neighbourhood Policy between 2004-2010. From 2011-2016 she was the President of the European Union-Latin America and Caribbean Foundation (EU-LAC Foundation), which aims at transforming the strategic partnership between the EU, Latin America and the Caribbean.

David M. Axelrod is an American political consultant and analyst. He is credited with being the brains behind former US President Obama's presidential campaigns. He is a graduate of political science at the University of Chicago.
Immediately after graduation, David began working for the Chicago Tribune. In 1984, his campaign management team won Congressman Paul Simon a seat in the U.S. Senate. In 1985 he co-created the consulting firm Axelrod & Associates (later known as AKP&D Message and Media). In 2008, Obama named Axelrod as a senior advisor to his administration. He left the post in 2011.

He worked as a currency analyst for N M Rothschild & Sons in London after graduating.He was employed as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company in 1986. Dr Muhammad Yunus, awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006, is the founder of Bangladesh's Grameen Bank. Set up in 1983, its aim was to enable the poor to break out of poverty by providing them credit.
Dr Yunus began his life's work by doling out small loans to basketweavers in the 1970s. Today, the Grameen Bank is in the vanguard of a global movement using microfinance as a tool to eliminate poverty. The Grameen Bank model exists in more than 100 countries.
Dr Yunus was born in 1940 in Chittagong. After studying at Dhaka University, he secured a Fulbright scholarship to study economics at Vanderbilt University. He got a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt in 1969 and the next year started teaching at Middle Tennessee State University. He then returned to Bangladesh, where he was head of the economics department at Chittagong University.
In 1993 Dr Yunus was appointed by the UN secretary general as a member of the International Advisory Group for the Fourth World Conference on Women. He held the post until 1995. He has also been part of the Global Commission of Women's Health, the Advisory Council for Sustainable Economic Development and the UN Expert Group on Women and Finance.

Floella Benjamin is an actress, author, singer, television presenter and businesswoman. She was introduced to the House of Lords by the Liberal Democrats with the title of Baroness Benjamin, of Beckenham in the County of Kent.

Ian Bond is an experienced negotiator, policy analyst, strategic thinker and a former senior diplomat and British Ambassador to Latvia. Mary Fallin is an American Polician who served as the 27th Governor of Oklahoma under the Republican Party and served for two terms between 2011 and 2019. She began her career in Politics in 1990 representing a district in Oklahoma City in the Oklahoma House of Representatives and then went on to serve as the 14th Lieutenant General of Oklahoma before getting elected into the United States House of Representatives.

Sir Christopher Antoniou Pissarides is the School Professor of Economics & Political Science and Regius Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and the Professor of European Studies at the University of Cyprus. He is also the distinguished Chairman of the Council of National Economy of the Republic of Cyprus. Although born in Nicosia, Cyprus, he is also a Briton. His contributions to the field of economics were on Macroeconomic search and matching theories of unemployment, matching function and structural growth.
Pissarides received his Bachelor's and Master's degreeboth in Economics at the University of Essex. He subsequently received his PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics for his thesis which he titled "Individual behavior in markets with imperfect information".
In 2010, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics with Peter A. Diamond and Dale Mortensen for their work on analysis of markets with theory of search frictions. He is also a Fellow of the Econometric Society, British Academy, European Economic Association and many other notable societies.
