Billy Lewis

Billy Lewis is an attorney representing a broad spectrum of clients in transactional and litigation matters, including financial institutions, construction companies, energy companies, real estate businesses and trust companies. Proficient in crafting legal documents and in the courtroom, Billy's unique perspective is also valued by clients for creating cost-effective solutions. Billy has taught CLE courses and authored publications during his career, primarily on corporate formation, transactions and real estate law. Billy was born in western Kansas but spent the majority of his life in Oklahoma. He is active in his church and community, including past service on various boards and charities. He currently the Chairman of the Downtown Business Improvement District Advisory Board and remains a board member of the Isaiah Stone Foundation, which supports the care and treatment of pediatric epilepsy.

Dana L. Murphy

Dana L. Murphy has joined the firm in an of-counsel role after serving for 14 years as an Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner. Prior to her tenure as an elected official, Dana was in private practice, including owning her own firm, and later served as an administrative law judge for a number of years. Dana's extensive experience and community involvement make her a prized addition to Goodwin / Lewis. Dana was raised on her family farm and ranch near May, Oklahoma and she remains involved in the daily operations to this day. She is active in her church community, as well as serving in numerous leadership and officer positions for various local and regional charitable organizations. Dana received her Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Oklahoma State University and her J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law. She has over 30 years' experience in oil and gas title, transactional and regulatory work.

Emmalee Barresi

Emmalee Barresi is a family law and adoption attorney. She combines her legal expertise with her experience as a mother of four when advocating for families during some of their most difficult times. Her fierce commitment to the law and compassion for families experiencing trauma makes her a successful litigator and a reliable counselor. Emmalee graduated from Oklahoma Christian University before going on to Oklahoma City University to obtain her juris doctorate in 2016. She serves as a legislatively appointed member in the Commission on the Status of Women where she works to elevate the success and prosperity of Oklahoma women, as well as to educate Oklahomans on the present dangers of human trafficking within our state. She served as the co-chair of the Oklahoma Women's Hall of Fame in 2023 and will again in 2024. Above all, Emmalee prizes time spent with her family, as well as any opportunity to bake or read a book.

Jason Reese

Jason Reese is a litigator with extensive experience in labor and employment law as well as oil and gas matters. Jason has served in various positions in state government and provides valuable expertise to his clients in the field of administrative law. He was appointed by the Governor to serve as a Merit Protection Commissioner from 2016-2020 and a Special Worker's Compensation Commissioner in 2020. Jason represents public interest and trade groups on both the state and federal levels on crafting and monitoring legislation. Jason was born and raised in east Texas and moved to Oklahoma for college. He is active in The State Chamber of Commerce and keeps involved in public policy and regularly writes articles for local and national publications. Jason spends most of his free time playing tennis and cheering on his four kids at various sporting events.

Kyle Goodwin

Kyle Goodwin is a senior litigator with Goodwin/Lewis. Kyle has long served as counsel for multi-state banks, engineering and construction companies, and national energy service companies. As lead trial attorney, he has obtained many successful results in forums throughout the region. His practice focuses on complex financial matters, banking litigation, corporate disputes, engineering and construction matters, and real estate-related disputes. Kyle's experience has generated extremely successful results for his clients. Kyle is a life-long Oklahoma resident, having been raised in Northwest Oklahoma. He remains an active and committed member of his community in Oklahoma City, serving on charities and in various capacities with his church family. He spends most of his free time with his wife, Shannon, and his four children.

Madeline Hagen

Madeline Hagen is a bright young star for Goodwin/Lewis and has been working as a legal intern for the Firm while attending law school at the University of Oklahoma. Madeline has accepted an offer to join Goodwin/Lewis upon obtaining her Juris Doctorate in May 2024 and successfully completing the Bar examination. Madeline was born and raised on a ranch in Texas and earned a Marketing Degree with distinction from the University of Oklahoma in 2020. She was born into a family of attorneys, so her natural inclination was to become part of a profession that serves others. Madeline has been involved in community service throughout her lifetime including through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and other volunteer activities. She has participated in Moot Court during law school and is interested in civil litigation as she moves into her legal career.

Paul Cason

Paul represents clients in a variety of litigation and transactional cases. Paul has represented clients in all facets of the life of their business, from its formation through a merger or acquisition and including any litigation that may occur. Paul also has experience representing clients in probate matters, estate planning, tax planning, and probate and trust litigation. Paul was born and raised in Oklahoma City and attended Purdue University where he earned his bachelor's degree. Prior to beginning his law practice, he worked in Washington D.C. for several years on Capitol Hill. Paul also has extensive experience working for political campaigns including everything from City Council races to United States Senate Races both in Oklahoma and all over the U.S. Paul is active in his church and community, including serving on the Young Professional Board for Infant Crisis Services, as well as an ambassador for the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

Trey Southerland

Trey Southerland is an attorney whose practice is primarily focused on real property, commercial law, and family law matters. Trey believes in being a strong advocate while prioritizing his client's goals. His success for finding the best outcome for each client shines through in his successes both in and out of the court room. He believes in educating his clients and operating transparently to help ease the process of finding the best legal strategy for each unique situation. Trey was born and raised in Ada and attended East Central University where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees. Trey is involved in various motorsports and is an avid tennis player.

Tyler L. Gentry

Tyler L. Gentry is an experienced trial attorney who focuses on civil and commercial litigation in courts of all jurisdictions, state and federal. Tyler represents individuals and businesses, and primarily practices in the areas of commercial law, oil and gas, real estate, personal injury, family law, and criminal law. His success in litigation is predicated on his familiarity with the elaborate choreography of a modern trial and a commitment to research and trial preparation. Tyler was born in central Texas and grew up in a small rural ranching community where he learned to value the significance of hard work, commitment, and early mornings. While not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Cassie Gentry, and their two children, Jett and Jolie. Tyler is also an avid bow hunter and disciplined endurance enthusiast. He competes in ultra-trail races and endures by finding meaning in the suffering.
