In 1946 Izumi Higuchi established a confectionary manufacturing company called "Izumi Seika". Two years later the company began the production of biscuits and caramel, and the "King of Caramel" snack became a national hit. In 1968, the company moved to Yugawara city, Kanagwa Prefecture and the company was renamed Tivoli. Up until today, Tivoli Group was able to establish 3 Factories, 7 Brands, 1 Retail company, and 2 trading companies with over 850 employees dedicated to producing confectionery... The company name and logo of Tivoli "The Fountain of Happiness" is said to have been imitated by the dazzling spring that gushing out at the Tivoli Fountain (near Rome) where the founder Izumi(means fountain) Higuchi visited during his travel to Europe and overlayed his name and the famous spring of Yugawara city. Currently, Yugawara-city(Kanagawa Prefecture) and Tivoli City have become sister cities due to their relationship... The current Tivoli confectionery DNA is based on the teachings..
