TMR Property Services is excited to partner with Ruby McDermott to offer landscape design and fine gardening services. Ruby's childhood years in Nebraska were spent in gardens. Her grandfathers where both in the industry - one was a farmer and the other a landscape architect. Ruby's great grandfather started one of the most successful nurseries in Omaha. Born on Arbor Day, Ruby was destined to be in the landscaping industry.
In 1979 Ruby became the owner of 30-acres of property in Maine and immediately began to turn over the earth to grow vegetables. On this acreage she installed multiple flower gardens which consisted of many perennials, shrubs and vegetables. Working the soil became a big part of her concentration - creating the foundation for healthy gardens of any type.
Ruby's first large professional project in the industry was at the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Maine. There, she installed numerous gardens and major hardscapes, plus three separate water features. She designed, installed and maintained these gardens for 23 years, always introducing new plant material into the landscape. The site was complemented by large containers flowing over with lavish plantings. Every entry at the Inn was adorned with evolving, seasonal, decorative plants which were specifically designed by Ruby to enhance each passing season. Ruby also assisted in developing gardens at the Public Safety Building and at the entries into the town of Freeport.
Ruby has created beautiful landscapes in private gardens up and down the coast of Maine. Of late, she has had grand opportunities to rejuvenate older gardens and overgrown sites, introducing healthy soil and new plant material. When Ruby comes onto your property she brings with her 35 years of expertise and a passion for creating outstanding gardens.

Todd Robbins is the owner and operator of TMR Property Services. Todd has been involved in the landscaping industry for more than 25 years. Prior to establishing TMR Property Services in 2018, Todd spent 15 years as the assistant property manager for more than 2,000 acres of private land in Cape Elizabeth and the manager of a landscaping company.
Todd is formally educated and trained in horticulture and has a deep knowledge of trees and plant material with an eye for design and attention to detail that he brings to every job. Todd is passionate about delivering exceptional service and quality work for his customers. Todd leads a talented and hardworking team to provide full service landscaping, tree care, handyman and property maintenance services to residential and commercial customers in the greater Portland area.
Todd is a licensed arborist in the state of Maine with an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ). Todd is one of few arborists in the State of Maine with this qualification and he is pleased to offer tree care services to TMR customers.
As the former Tree Warden for the town of Cape Elizabeth Todd was responsible for administering all aspects of Cape Elizabeth's town tree maintenance program, or simply stated - protecting the trees from the people and the people from the trees. His focus during his tenure was winter moth control and the planting of native trees in the town. Todd regularly leads educational workshops and events for the Fort Williams Park Foundation and the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust.
Todd resides in Portland with his wife and their two daughters. In his spare time Todd enjoys running, paddle boarding, indoor rock climbing and coaching youth sports.
