The Alaska Longline Cod Commission (ALCC) is a not-for-profit export and trade organization operating in the State of Washington under a Certificate of Review. The ALCC members sell and export frozen at-sea, headed and gutted, wild Alaska cod (Gadus Macrocephalus), also known as Pacific cod. Our fishermen harvest cod deploying specialized longline gear, then process and freeze the cod at-sea to ensure the highest quality and freshness. These operations have little to no impact on the ocean floor and produce minimal rates of bycatch mortality.
