ANINA NICKEL

Anina graduated from the University of Florida with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, and later relocated to the Virgin Islands to work in an Adult Intensive Care Unit in a medically underserved area. She returned to Florida and specialized in Neonatal Intensive Care. She also spent time working in Home Health Nursing, volunteering in Haiti, and providing disaster relief nursing to communities in Florida and Texas. Anina is a Certified Life Care Planner and has trained with Carol in developing high-quality Life Care Plans for a variety of case types. She continues to follow her passions and advance her knowledge in the dynamic field of medicine and life care planning. Anina is based out of Denver, Colorado.

CAROL HADLEY FRICKS

Carol Hadley Fricks, RN, MS, CLCP earned her undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine, with a minor in Psychology, from Occidental College in Los Angeles. She then attended Cal State University Long Beach and got her MS in Exercise Physiology/Biomechanics, and concurrently attended LA-County USC School of Nursing. Carol has been a registered nurse since 1984 and became a Certified Life Care Planner in January 2003. Her employment history includes working in a Corporate Wellness Center, working with spinal cord injured patients in an outpatient setting, working as a Clinic Director in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic, working as a nurse case manager, and then transitioning to legal nurse consulting and life care planning. She has been preparing Life Care Plans for defense and plaintiff for almost 20 years throughout the nation. In 2019 she was elected to be a member at large on the Board of Directors for the IALCP section of IARP. Carol is based out of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Christina Roesler

Christina obtained her Bachelors of Science in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and received her Master's degree from Colorado Technical University in Business Administration. She has had her certified nursing assistant license since 2004 and has owned her own business in home healthcare. Christina recently graduated from the Institute of Rehabilitation Education and Training. She has worked with Case in Point for over a year to help develop Life Care Plans and provide research assistance. She is currently pursuing certification as a Life Care Planner, and excited to continue her pursuit to enrich the lives of people with healthcare needs.

Dr. Dedrick S. Luikens

Dr. Dedrick S. Luikens, DO earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry with honors from Drury College, and earned his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a traditional rotating internship in Kingman, Arizona. Having received a military medical scholarship, Dr. Luikens moved to Pensacola, Florida for the US Navy flight surgeon program, followed by a three-year assignment to a patrol squadron in Kaneohe, Hawaii. He then completed an Emergency Medicine residency program in Toledo, Ohio, and began a diverse practice over the following 10 years, to include an Emergency Department Directorship, work in multiple states and underserved areas, expert witness and legal consulting work, and participation in medical educational programs. Dr. Luikens is active in full-time clinical practice. Outside of medicine, he enjoys outdoor athletics and world travel. Dr. Luikens is based out of Bennington, Vermont.

Dr. Ryan Stephenson

Dr. Ryan Stephenson is a physiatrist specializing in the treatment of individuals with disability and pain. He completed his medical education at the University of New England and residency training at the Baylor College of Medicine/University of Texas PM&R Alliance program. In his academic clinical practice, he has served as Medical Director of Polytrauma and Brain Injury, Medical Director of the Regional Amputation Center, and Medical Director of the Inpatient PM&R Consultation Service, and currently holds the rank of Associate Professor of Clinical Practice at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Clinically, he treats patients with many forms of disability, brain injury, spinal injury, limb amputation, and acute and chronic pain. He has been recognized for his outstanding contributions as an educator within the PM&R Residency Program and lectures regularly for residents and medical students at the University of Colorado. Additionally, he serves as a Chief Editor for Medscape's PM&R Section. Dr. Stephenson is based out of Denver, Colorado.

Elizabeth Wheeler

Elizabeth "Liz" Wheeler received her Master's in Counseling from The University of New Orleans in 2002, and has worked in the rehabilitation field since that time. Liz received her certification in Life Care Planning from the University of Florida in 2010, and she has testified in over 15 states as a vocational expert for the Social Security Administration. Her experience has included all phases of litigation, including counseling, vocational rehabilitation, life care planning, medical cost projections, mediation consulting, and trial preparation. Liz realizes that every case is different and unique which is why all of her work products are personalized to reflect the medical/vocational issues involved. Liz is based out of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Lisa Gay

Lisa graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her Masters in Nursing. She has been working with patients of all ages as a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 10 years and was awarded the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners' State Award for Excellence in 2018 for the US Virgin Islands. She is a Certified Life Care Planner with experience in a variety of pediatric and adult cases. Lisa is based out of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands.
