DUCKFERRIES - Key Persons

Koh Lipe

Koh Lipe is a Thai island paradise situated in the Andaman Sea, off the coast of northwestern Malaysia. There are several routes and services between four principal harbours in Thailand and one Malaysian island. Coming from the north part of the Andaman Sea, you can take the ferry from Phuket (5.5 hours), Krabi (4.5 hours) and Koh Lanta island (3 hours). Another route is from Trang (2 hours 15 minutes).

Koh Toch

Hiring a "Private" boat to Koh Rong is not uncommon and even though it is not as fast as a speed boat, it is your own. The local Cambodia Longtail Fishing boats do travel to Koh Rong depending on the weather. The prices do vary and can be anything from $100 to $150. The journey would take between 2 to 3 hours as this is the slower option with as many as 15 occupants. There are smaller options with an occupancy of 8 persons and the price would be approximately $80 as you would make this deal directly with the fisherman. Getting back to the mainland after would be about the same.

Lang Tengah

A more remote island, the speed boat to Lang Tengah also leaves from the Merang Jetty, with four departure times a day.
