Christian Dietrich

  • Vice President of Recycling and Waste Services
Christian has spent his entire 23 year career in Waste Management, starting out in Solid and Hazardous Waste Management in the US and then spending the last decade in the U.K. and Canada focusing mainly on the recycling of residential waste and organics management. Christian has held Senior Management roles in the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and general operation of 180k tonne per year mechanical biological treatment facility, 85k tonne per year materials recovery facility, and 115k tonne per year anerobic digestion and composting facility. Christian holds a BSc in Environmental Science from Lake Superior State University and a MBA from Seattle University.

Mike Minkhorst

Job Titles:
  • Site Superintendent
Mike has supervised and managed operations in the waste industry for the past 20 years, since 2011 he has been performing the role of a Site Superintendent at our Richmond landfill. In early 2020, Mike has continued his endeavour at our Spruce Street Location. Which had recently opened in mid 2019. Prior to his time at Ecowaste he was the Superintendent at Wastetech Services, he managed the Lower Mainland Transfer Station and Wood Processing Facility. Mike's main role here at The Spruce Street Transfer Station is the day to day operation of the Transfer Station, including oversight of the health and safety program, environmental compliance and procurement of supplies. Mike's education includes a B.A. from Trent University plus certification in MOLO (Manager of Landfill operations) and Transfer Stations and Recycling Facilities).
