Dave is married to Carolyn Stagemeyer and has two children and two step-children. He resides in Hampton, Virginia in the Howe Farms Subdivision. His son Eric is employed by Schmick and McCormicks Restaurant Chain and his daughter Joanne is in the HR Division of Geico Corp. His step daughter Stacy lives in Virginia and is the Executive Assistant to Dave, and his step daughter Ashley is currently married and is a Registered Nurse at Riverside Hospital in Surgical ICU.
Dave was born in McCook, Nebraska in a small ranch and farming community. Upon graduation from High School Dave attended college for a year and then joined the United States Navy from 1970-1996 when he retired. His tenure in the United "States Navy was diverse as well as challenging and tested his endurance and his leadership roles. He completed two degrees from the University of Nebraska and the University of Hawaii in Finance and Business Marketing while serving in the United States Navy.
Dave spent almost twelve years in Scouting and has been awarded the Silver Buffalo, "Woodbadge Beads and held positions as high as District Commissioner of Scouting in South Carolina. Dave is active in his Church, the Chamber of Commerce, and is often called upon to do public speaking and consulted on Business Entrepreneurship. He has spoken at Universities and open forums on Financial Matters.
In 1996 Dave entered into the financial services industry and opened his first office in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is licensed in Securities and Variable Annuities through GWN Securities, Inc. He holds a life, health and annuities license.
He has completed numerous courses in financial topics.
Dave started Stagmeyer and Associates in March of 1996 and branded LightHouse Financial Group in October of 2005. He is the founder of LightHouse Financial Group,LLC of Hampton, Virginia. In 2021 Dave stepped down from active management of the company, but still remains President Emeritus of Lighthouse Financial Group.
