RURAL TANKS

Rural Tanks was started on 14th May 1982 by John Peacock. Originally located in Glenburn in rural Victoria, John's son Davin took over and moved the business to Seymour in 1993. Davin set up in the old army sheds known locally as "Mob Siding". He continued to run the business until taken over by me (Dave Palmer) in 2002. I started my apprenticeship with John on 8th May 1989 working with Andrew Walker and right from my first day of work had intentions of owning Rural Tanks... Rural Tanks will continue to offer the traditional job, (making water tanks out of galvanised iron and still soldering the joints), but this is now a "premium" option. This process is both time consuming and labour intensive but it has been the traditional way of making tanks and we are proud to be preserving a little bit of history and to have achieved the continued tradition for so long whilst still offering a marketable, affordable and practical product...
