At HSBC, as Vice President of the Research department, Utkarsh designed, developed and ran a training programme that was considered as one of the best and well-organised in the industry. The programme prepared management graduates for roles in equity research. He also conducted training programmes for international participants at London and Hong Kong. He initiated the model validation programme and managed the team that worked on it. He set up and led the campus hiring programme which resulted in over 50% of the total staff strength coming through campus hiring.
