Alex joined Spencer Private Hospitals in August 2020. He is experienced in a range of areas including risk management, regulatory compliance, information governance and data protection. Alex is a qualified Trading Standards Officer and following nearly a decade in Local Government rising from a Graduate Officer to Lead Officer, his career later took a different path and he has held Manager roles within the regulated charity and financial services sectors before joining Spencer Private Hospitals. Alex has experience in risk management, regulatory compliance - from an enforcement perspective and later advising Senior Management Teams and Boards of their responsibilities under UK and EU laws. In addition, Alex has experience in corporate governance from his time in a regulated charity, data protection and information governance.

Cheryl joined Spencer Private Hospitals in January 2017 as the Matron for our Margate Hospital. She moved into the role of Head of Clinical Services in 2020 and is now our Hospital Director - Ashford & Canterbury.

Dr Khan has completed training in London South Thames in Rheumatology and General medicine. He has attained experience by working in big teaching hospitals including Kings College Hospital London and St Georges Hospital London. In addition he has managed general rheumatology both in inpatient and outpatient management, dealing with complex rheumatological conditions. He is musculoskeletal ultrasound qualified from Canterbury Christchurch University and has experience in scanning for the early arthritis clinic and disease monitoring. He also carries out ultrasound guided injections. Dr Khan has a strong interest in researching Rheumatology and completed a MSc in Rheumatology from Kings College London in 2010. He tested the simple hypothesis that pre-treatment biomarkers predict response to biologics. It was presented at the 'American College of Rheumatology Conference' (ACR) in Atlanta USA 2010. He has been published in various papers and the most recent published in 'Annals of Rheumatic Diseases' which he looked at smoking and its response to biologics in Rheumatoid Arthritis patients which was presented in the 'British Society of Rheumatology Conference' (BSR) in Glasgow. Currently working as a Consultant Rheumatologist and physician at Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital Margate, he is involved in Musculoskeletal ultrasound training of Specialist Registrars and also a supervisor of Core Medical Trainees.

Geoff worked in the global pharmaceutical industry for 30 years with GSK Plc and Bayer AG. 20 of those years were as an expatriate in Dubai, Manila, Bangkok and Berlin. More recently, Geoff was Managing Director of the Nuffield Hospital in Brighton and Managing Director of the Sancta Maria Hospital in Swansea.

Jo has worked in finance roles for over twenty-five years. She qualified with ACCA in 1997 and was admitted as a Fellow in 2002. In February 2018 she took over the role of Commercial Director.

Lynn joined Spencer Private Hospitals as the Outpatient Services Manager when it opened in 1998 having spent 16 years working within East Kent Hospitals Foundation Trust. Lynn was promoted to the position of Matron in 2002. In 2011 Lynn was appointed as Hospital Director at Margate and is the Registered Manager under Care Quality Commission requirements and the Responsible Officer for Controlled Drugs (CD's). Lynn is also a trained auditor in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems.
