Andrea Pinna

Andrea Pinna is a research fellow at the University of Cagliari. His field of research concerns the study of blockchain technology and its applications. The topics of interest include the study of smart contracts, and the software engineering aspects concerning the development of software based on blockchain and the enhancement of the social, economic and environmental impact. He also dealt with the study of Bitcoin's blockchain data by analyzing the networks and behaviors of the users who use them. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Cagliari. The thesis is titled "The Blockchain Technology Analysis and Applications" with supervisors prof. Giorgio Giacinto, Michele Marchesi and Roberto Tonelli. Discussed in March 2018, it was one of the first doctoral theses on the subject of blockchain technology. He graduated in Electronic Engineering at the University of Cagliari. His thesis is titled "Marking Observer for Petri Nets with Labels and Uncertainty on Initial Marking", with supervisor prof. Carla Seatzu.

Gavina Baralla is a research fellow in Mathematics and Computer science at the University of Cagliari. She holds a Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE) of the University of Cagliari in 2019. The title of the thesis is "Enabling technologies for the development of smart cities" with supervisors prof. Michele Marchesi and prof. Giorgio Fumera. Her research interests are focused on the study of the blockchain technology applied to different sectors such as e-health and agri-food chain management.

KATIUSCIA MANNARO obtained her Engineering degree from University of Cagliari, Italy, with 110/110 Summa cum Laude in 2001. Since then, she has actively continued her post graduate research, holding in 2002 a Master's degree in Internet Banking from University Cattolica of Sacro Cuore of Milan and in 2003 she won a scholarship for young researchers in FIRB project (MAPS -Agile Methodologies for Software Production). In 2008 she received her Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science with a thesis on "Adopting Agile Methodologies in Distributed Software Development." She worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE), University of Cagliari, from 2010 to 2017 and since 2019 she holds a Research Fellowship position at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Cagliari. Her research interests include blockchain technologies applied to different sectors such as e-health, agri-food supply chain and AEC & FM industry, software modeling, agile and lean methodologies.

Raffaele Porcu

Raffaele Porcu is a collaborator in Mathematics and Computer science at the University of Cagliari (DMI-UNICA). He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering and a Master in Embedded Systems for the Internet of Things from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE) of the University of Cagliari (UNICA). His research fields include the application of blockchain technology in different sectors such electronic voting for blockchain applications, and agri-food chain management.
