COPPICE CO-OP

We are a co-operative Coppicing and Woodcraft business based in the North Lancashire/South Cumbrian region of Britain, working towards sustainable woodland management. We supply firewood sourced from our woodland management work, produce charcoal and make a wide range of traditional coppice products such as hazel hurdles, oak gates and fencing, benches and more. We also run craft and coppice courses from our beautiful woodland yard... The Coppice Co-op exists to provide employment for its members and other heritage craft workers within the field of traditional coppicing; woodland restoration; habitat management; and the conservation of the rural landscape and its heritage. We aim to make a long term positive contribution by combining economic viability as a business with the promotion of heritage skills to deliver sustainable woodland and habitat management work that landowners otherwise find difficult to fund consistently.
