Hi, my name is Chris Boyd, the CEO and Founder of Crystal Clear Pool, Spa & Electrical.
I started in the electrical industry when I was 17yrs old completing my apprenticeship by 21. After working for 4yrs as a qualified electrician I decided to go into business on my own. This is when I first got a taste for the pool and spa industry as I was contracting to a pool company in south Auckland. This carried on till I was 29 where I then decided to work on the oil rigs as a maintenance supervisor. After 5 years I decided this was not for me so I moved back to New Zealand and opened up another service company specialising in the pool and spa industry. I grew up with a pool and spa at my family home so the pool scene has always called to me. Both my parents and younger brother have also worked in the pool industry so I guess you can say it's in my blood.
