Megan Maxwell

Megan is a versatile web & graphic designer who specializes in vector-based illustration. She has an academic background in print based graphic design and information graphics, but has been primarily focused in web design and development professionally. Throughout her education and career, Megan has maintained a minimal - yet calculated design process, and believes that the mindset required for creating info-graphics has given her a good understanding of how to process and present content in a web environment. After living and working in Boston for nearly 10 years, Megan decided to return to her hometown in upstate New York where she joined the Next Step Digital team.

Mike Kilpatrick

As a Founding Partner of Next Step Digital, Michael is its logistics and development driving force. With over 20 years in the digital development industry, he uses his technical knowledge and client management experience to balance our company's ongoing projects, while bringing technological, creative and business needs together in harmonious execution.

Sean Mahoney

  • Digital Strategist
Sean Mahoney has been working in the internet industry for the past 20+ years creating and developing web and mobile solutions for various clients in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. As a founding partner, Sean is our primary Digital Strategist and also serves as Account Manager. As a hybrid of many disciplines and veteran of numerous digital projects, Sean offers a resourceful and creative perspective to every project he is involved with. Sean is an adjunct professor at SUNY CGCC where he teaches Web Design and Web Programming. As an active member of the community, Sean serves on a number of local boards including being an elected Town Councilman in the Town of Hunter, Chairman of the Ulster County Workforce Investment Board (WIB), and also serves as Executive Director of the Hunter Foundation Inc. a local not for profit focused on economic development. A lifelong resident of the Catskills, Sean enjoys the mountain lifestyle as an avid downhill and cross country skier. He is a member of the National Ski Patrol, and during the winter he patrols at both Hunter Mountain and Mountain Trails Cross Country Ski Center.
