In December 1991, Katherine came to America with her family: her parents, two sisters, and brother. We are cousin, who came to America with nothing in our hands. As we remembered, ten of us were living in the converted garage of Dawn's father friend's house, which had no air conditioning, nor heating. it was just a garage divided into two tiny rooms. Each family shared one room, which barely enough space to lay an old queen size mattress. It was the coldest winter of our lives. We were shilvering all day long and didn't know what to do.
