Bill Foley

Bill Foley advises Stratagem from Atlanta, GA, where he is President of Foley Design Associates Architects, Inc. Since 1991, Bill has led his team of architects, planners, and interior designers in creating a wide range of award-winning projects - from production studios to resort properties, from office buildings to hotels, and including the development planning of residential and commercial parks. Working with Stratagem Advisor David Godfrey, Bill oversaw the design of Pinewood Studios Atlanta's 1 million square feet of media production/studio space. This facility is widely acknowledged to have set the global standard in Tier 1 studio facilities, and was a critical component in spurring the growth of Atlanta's film sector from nearly nonexistent to its current status of approximately $3 billion USD/year. Bill's decades-long expertise in achieving quality design solutions while satisfying unique program and budget requirements consolidates Stratagem's strength in all aspects of coordinated design projects.

David Godfrey

David Godfrey has earned widespread renown as the world expert in the design, building and management of screen-based media facilities, having overseen the production and construction of nearly 7 million square feet of Tier 1 media production/studio space globally. As a highly in-demand consultant, he has worked on all manner of screen-based media and infrastructure, including film stages and television studios, postproduction, theatres, offices, artist facilities, SFX, art department and design areas, media tenant space, and more. Before migrating into consultancy, David was Group Director of International Operations at Pinewood (UK) Studios. As such, he was instrumental in the design and development of Pinewood Studios' global expansion. He was also a lead in the world's largest studio facility, Wanda Studios Qingdao in China, an extremely ambitious project comprising in excess of 2 million square feet of mixed space, including 45 stages. The expertise and experience David brings to the Stratagem Group is unmatched worldwide.

James Haggarty

James is a seasoned media and entertainment executive with experience running businesses around the globe - from London to Madrid, to Pune (India), Melbourne, Atlanta, New York, LA, Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto. James was most recently the President of Deluxe Creative Services (Deluxe, EFilm, Encore post-production and Method and Encore VFX) and is based in Los Angeles. Prior to Deluxe, James was the President and CEO of Sim International where he integrated Sim's Camera, Lighting & Grip and Post production operations and he led Sim's strategic acquisition of a sound stage company with over 400,000 square feet. James brings a wide and deep network from award-winning Colorists and production executives to studio heads and more. Prior to Sim, James held executive roles at Rogers Communications and Corus Entertainment, where he managed P&Ls, led teams, M&A, integrations and operations, as well as the design and build out of cutting-edge studios, production, post production broadcast facilities. James also held executive roles in e-commerce and a private investment company where he was a founding shareholder and board member of a SPAC (special purpose acquisition company) that successfully executed a qualified transaction in 2017. He has launched businesses, managed turn-around business and modernized mature businesses by embracing technology and focusing on client service, team building and good governance. James has been on the boards and chaired audit committees and compensation committees of public and private companies since 2012. He has supported his communities by volunteering as an advisory member for the American Society of Cinematographers (2019-2020), board member of the Toronto Blue Jays Care Foundation (2010-2019), advisory board member of the Odette School of Business (2007-2013), and, as swim coach for Special Olympics (1992-2003). James has a Bachelor of Commerce from the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and he is Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA/CA). Jeff Melanson

Jeff Melanson, one of the most prominent executives in the Canadian arts and culture community, is lauded internationally for his inventive approach to leadership, his bold strategies, and his practical vision. Prior to joining Stratagem, Jeff was President and CEO of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, President of The Banff Centre, Dean of The Royal Conservatory of Music's Community School in Toronto, and Executive Director of Canada's National Ballet School. Jeff was the first arts leader to be appointed one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40, and has been named Wilfrid Laurier University's MBA Alumnus of the Year. In 2010, he was appointed special advisor on arts and culture to the Mayor of Toronto. He is a recipient of a Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal, and is a globally sought-after voice on disruptive innovation, creative economies, and creative entrepreneurship.

Jonathan Ahee

Jonathan Ahee leads the strategic direction of Stratagem Studios and oversees global studio operations. He has championed Toronto's screen community since 2004, working with U.S. and Canadian studios, networks, investors and production companies to bring film and television productions to Ontario. As Co-Chair of the Toronto Film, Television and Digital Media Board, he led the development of Toronto's strategic plan for the screen industry. Under his leadership as President, NABET 700-M UNIFOR became Canada's foremost competitive domestic entertainment industry crew union. Jonathan co-founded the xoTO Schools program, which provides co-operative education opportunities to Toronto District School Board students with a focus on increasing gender and racial diversity in the film industry. He also created the NABET apprenticeship program, partnering with Black Youth Action Plan, community organizations, and post-secondary institutions. Jonathan chaired the UNIFOR National Media Council and was a board member on the UNIFOR National Executive Board, and numerous Government boards and committees.

Michele Alosinac accelerates the production of client services and global project opportunities by overseeing private/public partnerships, multi-platform workforce training and aggregation of infrastructure portfolios for the expansion of creative storytelling and content delivery. A 25-year veteran of Toronto's film and television industry, Michele is known for her innovative business development strategies, creative branding expertise, and commitment to collaboration and community building. As the City of Toronto's first Film and Television Sector Development lead, she established the xoTO brand and promotional campaigns, crafted policy and strategic direction and advanced the advocacy and unity of the vendor community as the local production industry grew from $1.4B to over $2.0B during her tenure. Prior to that, Michele was responsible for the Ontario Heritage Trust's Business and Film Development portfolios across the province. As a respected creative producer and director, she developed, produced and directed multiple television series around the world for local and international broadcasters.

Ornella Richichi brings over 25 years of real estate development expertise to Stratagem. Along with her role at Stratagem, Ornella holds the position of Chief Development Officer at Plaza Partners, one of Toronto's leading real estate investment and development company's. There, she oversees all aspects of development related to the existing and expanding Plaza Partners portfolio. Her previous role was that of Chief Development Officer with The Torgan Group, where she was responsible for the redevelopment of the portfolio to create value through mixed-use development projects. Ornella's extensive experience also includes 20 years with SmartCentres, a high-performing Canadian real estate investment trust. As SmartCentres' Executive Vice President, Development, Ornella oversaw a portfolio of more than 100 properties worth over $800 million, and was responsible for the development of over 8 million square feet of commercial space - including 629 Eastern Avenue in Toronto's Studio District. Ornella had key responsibility for the opening and expansion of Revival 629 Film Studios, helping to make it one of the Toronto film industry's most successful facilities.
