ST. BONIFACE HOSPITAL

St. Boniface Hospital, a work of charity of the Sisters of Charity of Montreal "Grey Nuns", is a Catholic tertiary health care facility affiliated with the University of Manitoba... St. Boniface Hospital is home to one of Manitoba's only Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU), and every year dozens and dozens of little patients "graduate" from the unit and go on to live healthy lives. To celebrate these graduates, SBH hosted a Spring Fling on May 4, to bring together grads, their families, and NICU staff... St. Boniface Hospital has been providing leadership in health care on behalf of Manitobans since it was first established by the Grey Nuns in 1871. Located at the fork of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers, we were the first hospital in Western Canada, established in St. Boniface as a small four-bed facility to meet the health care needs of the people of the new province of Manitoba (founded in 1870).
