SUSTAINABLE CLAREMONT

The City of Claremont Sustainability Plan, adopted on October 28, 2008, recommended for the formation of a citizen group that would work with the City government - independently but in cooperation - on issues of environmental, social, and economic sustainability. In March 2009, Sustainable Claremont was formed as an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We've been working hard ever since to see our community grow and prosper as a Green City!... Sustainable Claremont serves more than 37,000 residents of the City of Claremont as well as the neighboring cities of La Verne, Montclair, Pomona, Upland, and Rancho Cucamonga, and the greater Southern California region... Sustainable Claremont achieves its mission through education and action. Our community-based programs seek to engage those we serve and alleviate environmental injustices.
