Alessandra Borella

Alessandra Borella completed her legal studies at the University of Lucerne and obtained her Master of Law in 2017. During her studies, she worked as scentific assistant to Prof. avv. Dr. iur. LL.M Francesco Trezzini for the realization of the legal commentary on Swiss Civil Procedure. In 2017, she joined the Law Firm Bolla Bonzanigo & Associati as a trainee and in December 2019 she was admitted to the Bar in Switzerland. Since 2020 she is an associate at COLLEGAL Attorneys at Law. In 2023, alongside her professional activities, she completed her LL.M. degree at Boston University. Her area of practice focuses on contract law and domestic litigation. She also advises clients on general civil and commercial matters and represents private claimants involved in criminal proceedings. Flavio Amadò - Founder

Flavio Amadò (1970) obtained his law degree from the University of St. Gallen in 1996 and has been professionally active in the judiciary ever since. In 1999 he has been admitted to the Swiss bar. After studies at the American Institute for Economic Research in Great Barrington (Massachusetts), he obtained a master's degree in banking and financial law from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2000. He then worked in the legal department of a well-known bank in London, and in 2001 he took the exams and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. Returning to Switzerland, he worked in a major law firm in the areas of criminal law, especially financial law, as well as commercial, corporate, banking and financial law (banks and investment funds), civil litigation, as well as legal assistance and information exchange in tax matters. In these areas, he advises institutional and private clients in particular in criminal, civil and administrative litigation, as well as in commercial transactions, start-ups, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. In his professional fields he is author and co-author of several publications, and regularly holds courses at private and public institutions, in particular at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), where he teaches master's degrees in business law and tax law, and where he regularly lectures in banking and financial law. In addition to his forensic activity, from 2014 until 31 May 2018 he was appointed substitute Judge at the Court of Appeal. Since February 2020 he chairs the Ticino Chapter of the British Swiss Chamber of Commerce. He practises notarial activities, mainly drafting deeds in Italian, German, English and French relating to legal entities, real estate transactions (including authorisation procedures) and the issue of notarial certificates. Flavio Amadò is a co-founder and partner of the law firm Collegal (since 2020). From 2014 to 2018 he was a member of the Swiss Magistrates' Association. He is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, and member of the editorial board of SUPSI's Tax News magazine. Flavio Amadò speaks Italian, English, German and French. Flavio Canonica (1973) received his graduate education and master's degree at the University of Zurich (lic. Iur. 1998) and University of Basel (Master of Advanced European Studies), respectively. He completed his legal training at the District Court (Bezirksgericht) and Labour Court (Arbeitsgericht) of Zurich and was admitted to the bar (Zurich) in 2002. He subsequently worked as an associate in a leading Zurich law firm specializing in public and administrative law (2003). He went on to hold positions as a law clerk at Administrative Cantonal Court Ticino (2007) and as an associate in a major law firm in Lugano (2009). In 2009 he founded his private law firm, Studio legale avv. Flavio Canonica. In 2017, alongside Lorenzo Anastasi and Lorenza Ponti Broggini, he established the Centoventitré Studio Legale (2017-2019), a law firm specializing in public, administrative and construction law. Flavio Canonica is founding and executive partner of the law firm Collegal (2020). Flavio Canonica focuses on public, administrative and construction law. He is mainly active in the following sectors and legal areas: construction, energy, infrastructure, healthcare, planning, construction and environmental law. He advises his clients on all relevant construction issues, i.e. developing construction contracts and assisting them in construction and real estate disputes. After being admitted to the Swiss Bar in winter 2008, she continued her activity at the Law Firm Bolla Bonzanigo & Associati. Roberta Piffaretti speaks Italian, German, French and English.
