Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Critical Care emergency Unit is a specialized facility provided by highly experienced surgeons and professional physicians, nurses, respiratory care technicians, pharmacists and other allied health professionals... He has a postgraduate degree in Medicine from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College in Manipal. He subsequently trained in Pulmonary Medicine in the United Kingdom and is a Member of Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), United Kingdom. He then pursued fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine at University of Toronto. He is currently a Senior Consultant in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. He is well respected as a clinician and teacher and has authored original publications in journals of repute. He is a course director for Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) program.
