Deborah joined Retina Consultants of America (RCA) in June of 2022 as Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, she collaborates with physicians, practice-level business leadership and internal HR teams to define and execute an organizational-wide People Strategy that fuels growth. She also manages HR for RCA's corporate team in Southlake. Outside of RCA, Deborah resides in the Southlake area and enjoys spending time with her husband and family, travelling, interior design, cooking, and mastering the art of wine tasting.

Dr. David M. Brown

Dr. David M. Brown is a world-renown Medical and Surgical Retina Specialist and clinical trial specialist. He is the only Texas Medical and Surgical Retina Specialist elected to all three retina honor societies (Retina Society, Macula Society, and Club Jules Gonin). He is a 5th generation native Texan (from Deer Park, Texas) and he has pioneered research and treatment in the areas of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion. With more than 300 scientific papers and abstracts written on related topics, Dr. Brown has been a continuous election as one of the "Best Doctors in America" from 2007 - 2018 and has received the honor as one of the "Texas Super Docs" from 2009 - 2018. Dr. Brown serves as the consultant retina specialist for NASA for all ongoing and long-term space flight astronauts.

Joel A. Pearlman

Dr. Pearlman grew up in Brooklyn, New York and graduated Valedictorian from Cherry Hill East in New Jersey. He is a magna cum laude graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from Harvard University. He received his M.D. degree from Baylor College of Medicine, receiving an award for Outstanding Performance in Clinical Sciences, and graduating Alpha Omega Alpha (top 10% of his class). At Baylor, he also went on to receive his Ph.D. in cell biology, and was awarded the Outstanding Performance in Basic Sciences Award. During his internship, Dr. Pearlman received The Intern of the Year Award. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at The Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. He stayed at The Wilmer Institute as a medical and surgical Retinal Fellow for an additional two years. Here, he received a Heed Fellowship, the Knapp Fellowship, and the Ronald G. Michels Fellowship. He was awarded the Special Resident Teaching Award and a Ronald G. Michels Research Grant. Following his Fellowship, Dr. Pearlman served as the Assistant Chief of Service at the Wilmer Eye Institute, where he taught ophthalmology residents and performed complex eye and trauma surgery. He joined the faculty at UC Davis for a year where he enjoyed teaching the residents, and joined Retinal Consultants in 2003. A Doctor who always gives special care and complete understanding to his patients! Thankful every visit he tells me what to expect and how my progress is going! Over 10 years I continue to be blessed with his kindness!" Dr. Pearlman is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Medical Association. He has coauthored several papers and book chapters on retinal blood vessel growth factors and on eye trauma. He has served as Program Director of the ALTA Ophthalmologic Society. Dr. Pearlman enjoys interacting and caring for his patients, has an active family life, and enjoys working on computers.

Kevin Quinn - COO

Kevin has 25+ years of experience in medical devices and healthcare services. He has successfully achieved aggressive business objectives through effective leadership, skillful product development, market analysis, and negotiation of strategic partnerships. He also plays a vital role in the rapid growth of RCA Research over past 18 months. RCA Research is driven to providing the direction, alignment, support and resources to allow our teammates the opportunity to be great!" Kevin was founder of EyeTel Imaging, a devise enabled service company that provided screening for diabetic retinopathy in the primary care setting. He was responsible for the development and clinical testing of a semi-automated digital fundus camera and established manufacturing in China. His experience spanned from signing a strategic alliance with a top 10 pharma company, to negotiating provider agreements with 21 of the top 22 managed health plans in the US. Kevin was instrumental in establishing a telemedicine retinal reading center in collaboration with Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute.

Robert ("Robby") Grabow, CEO, has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare. He holds a JD and MBA from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law and Cox School of Business. Prior to that, he earned a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, Red McCombs School of Business. Grabow is an experienced professional with a demonstrated history of leading in the healthcare industry including payor and provider services. Prior to Retina Consultants of America, Grabow stood for excellence at US Anesthesia Partners, a national 3,500 provider anesthesia group. In his experience with Humana, he developed multiple programs that provided strategy and ingenuity that lead to positive ROI and innovation. He has a strong background in operations leadership and negotiation as well as P&L accountability, operations management, leadership development, analytical skills and sales.
