The Yard Pizzeria - Traditional Italian pizza, cooked using a real wood fire. Our huge stone oven was imported from Naples. We only use top quality ingredients = better taste with lower calories. Harpenden and surrounding... So what makes us different? We make our traditional recipe dough on site, using imported "00" flour. We use lower calorie fresh milk mozzarella, not a dried milk mozzarella or cheddar mix. For our sauce we use San Marzano tomatoes, grown in the nutrient rich volcanic soil in the foothills of Mount Vesuvius. We don't add preservatives. We roast fresh vegetables, hand cut imported Italian salamis for our toppings and we only use extra virgin olive oil. Finally our thin base pizzas are cooked with skill in our wood fired oven, not a conveyor belt or electric grill.
