Andrea McDonald

Andrea joined the Fraser Basin Council as Program Coordinator in July 2021. Her work spans multiple programs, including Salmon-Safe BC, where she provides program and communication support through daily operations, event coordination, social media content creation, and more. Andrea has a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from the University of British Columbia and a Masters in Resource and Environmental Management and Planning from Simon Fraser University. During her degree at Simon Fraser University, Andrea conducted research in partnership with Salmon-Safe BC to identify alignment between the Salmon-Safe BC urban standards and government policy.

Bob Purdy

Bob Purdy, Executive Vice President of the Fraser Basin Council, has extensive experience in business and not-for-profit sectors and an academic background in zoology. He brings to FBC expertise in multi-interest process design and facilitation, environmental management systems, indigenous-non indigenous relationship-building and collaborative land use planning. In addition to providing strategic oversight of the Salmon-Safe BC program, Mr. Purdy acts for the Chief Executive Officer as required, oversees FBC's fund development and communications functions and FBC's work in the Greater Vancouver - Sea to Sky and Fraser Valley regions. He also leads specific initiatives, for example, serving as an independent facilitator of both the Port of Vancouver ECHO Program, a collaborative effort to reduce threats to at-risk whales in the Salish Sea, and FortisBC's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Advisory Group, which provides input to the company's energy efficiency and conservation programs.

Theresa Fresco

​​Theresa is the Regional Manager of the Greater Vancouver - Sea to Sky Region of the Fraser Basin Council and the Program Manager of Salmon-Safe BC. With a multi-disciplinary background and as a systems thinker, she has over 8 years of local and international experience in a range of areas including watershed management, collaborative watershed governance, sustainability issues, facilitation and process design. Theresa has a Masters degree from the University of BC's School of Community and Regional Planning and a Bachelors degree in Geography and English Literature from the University of the Fraser Valley. She also currently serves as a public / lay member of BC's College of Applied Biology.
