TORO

TORO is a peer led project of the DTES SRO Collaborative that came about in response to the overdose crisis and the ongoing stigmatization and poor living conditions of drug users in privately owned Single Room Occupancy hotels... Tenant Overdose Response Organizers (TOROs) educate tenants and landlords about harm reduction, train everyone in our buildings to use naloxone, and distribute harm reduction supplies from our rooms. Our goal is to build networks of support and save lives. We are learning about health and wellness, directing our neighbors to health services, and taking leadership in our community.
