Geoff Black

Job Titles:
  • Deputy Manager
Geoff has worked at Fairways since 1997 where he took on the role of Chef at Dunluce Residential Home. His work ethic and ability to build strong relationships with the people who we support, their families and the staff team was clearly evident from a very early stage. Geoff actively involved service users in activities within the kitchen and he played a key role in the service redevelopment. At the Cloonavin Green Project, with his Culinary Arts Degree, he took on the role of Living Skills Development Manager and was responsible for promoting the skills of service users in all areas of daily life. Further progression saw him become Deputy Manager. For many, he's the ‘go to' person when there's a query or when something needs done and his name will be the first on most service users lips when they need help or support. Geoff loves city breaks and holidays to the sun and he makes sure that his leave is never wasted. As a chef by profession, his love for food and wine has never left him. He delights in spending time in the kitchen and entertaining friends.

Janette Hayes

  • Team Leader
Janette joined Fairways back in 1999 and has gained a wealth of experience during her time with us. She's fulfilled a range of roles across many of our services. Her first promotion was in 2003 where she took on a senior care role. Since then, she has continually focused on her professional development and working in various capacities which provided her with the opportunity for further promotion to her current position of Team Leader back in 2015. Leading a a large team, Janette's role requires that she's involved with all elements of day to day life of the supported living service at the Cloonavin Green Project. Reporting to Vikki, she works very closely with Geoff and Kathy to ensure that needs are met and risks reduced. Outside work, Janette is busy with her young family and enjoys all of the adventures that such life treasure brings. She often spends time exploring our amazing coast and local attractions.

Kathy Wan

  • Outreach Co - Ordinator
Kathy joined the organisation in 2009 taking on the role of support worker at our Woodford Park Project. Kathy's leadership and organisational skills were clearly evident and complimented her ability to work with clients who have the most complex care and support needs. Having already graduated from the University of Ulster with BSc Hons in Social Psychology and much subsequent supplementary academic credential including bereavement training and ASIST, Kathy's professional career was destined to be further developed. As such Kathy was instrumental in the creation of the Fairways Outreach service which she now head's up as Outreach Co-ordinator. As Kathy's title suggests, she takes charge of organising our outreach services. She makes sure that people are in receipt of the right level of support, liaising with clients, families, professionals and senior management to ensure that needs are met and risks reduced. In her free time, Kathy likes to keep active and is always busy with family life and spends much of her time taking her children to various clubs and local sporting events with which they are heavily involved. Both of her sons have proudly played for Coleraine football team. As Kathy's title suggests, she head's up our outreach service making sure that people are in receipt of the right level…

Laura Kelly

  • Registered Manager
Laura joined the Fairways family in 2010 in the role of support worker at Woodford Park. It was clear from the outset that Laura was to be a committed member of our team. As such, she gained promotion to our senior support team in 2012 before becoming Team Leader in 2016 and then Registered Manager in 2023. Laura leads a large team of highly skilled people at Woodford Park and reports to Vikki accordingly. She's been heavily involved in helping with the co-ordination and delivery of resettlement programs for people moving from long stay hospital or transitioning from childrens' services who have a range of complex needs. Her sound value base and strong work ethic has helped her to build a great reputation amongst her team and partnering agencies. Since working at Fairways, Laura has got married and started a family. Balancing such responsibilities with a busy work life, Laura doesn't find she has much spare time. She loves her hometown of Ballycastle however and spends much of her time doing activities with her family along our amazing north coast.

Sonia Bradley

  • Home Manager
Sonia holds the chalice for length of service, having joined the organisation in 1992. Her loyalty and commitment to the organisation, the people who use our services and the team of staff who work at Fairways, speaks for itself. She has fulfilled most roles within the organisation but has been registered manager at Duncreggan since 1998. Sonia's wealth of knowledge and experience is evident from the moment you meet her. In addition to being a service manager, Sonia undertakes much of the internal training for the wider organisation. As an instructor, she heads up our First Aid training and is one fifth of our in house Respect Instructor team. Whilst spending most of her free time with her family, Sonia has a keen interest in music, interior design and travel. Of course, being a true Portrush girl, she loves exploring our North Coast. Tony Dunlop - Managing Director

Tony has worked at Fairways since 1993, starting his working life as a care assistant at Duncreggan Residential Home. He progressed through various roles, gaining academic qualifications along the way. With a BA in Social Work, he returned from Aberdeen in 2000 joining his late Mother in overseeing the management of the Fairways services. Tony head's up the organisation and will be at each of the Fairways services most days. He gets involved on the ground and is personally part of the day to day operations of each service. He lives and breathes Fairways. It has become his family and he loves and treats it as such. In 2006, Tony led the redevelopment of the organisation's service delivery in the form of the supported living model at the Cloonavin Green Project and later, the Woodford Park Project in 2008. The domiciliary model was adopted and improved for the Outreach Service in 2010. These services created opportunities for people moving from long stay hospitals and for children transitioning to adult services. Tony is a professional sailor and in his free time loves nothing more than getting out on the water and exploring the various destinations around our coasts. Whilst he's a keen traveler and enjoys seeing the world and the different cultures within it, he loves our North Coast most of all.

Vikki Derbyshire

Vikki joined the organisation back in 1994 when she worked as a care assistant at Duncreggan Residential Home. She progressed quickly and has fulfilled various roles within a number of our services.. Balancing the demands of her post grad in social work at the University of Ulster and having a family along the way, Vikki isn't afraid of a decent challenge. Vikki has been instrumental, working alongside Tony in the development of extensive service provision since 2006. She was a key player in our part of the resettlement program for people moving from long stay hospital and has cemented a solid reputation as a valued practitioner in the field of learning disability. As registered manager, she oversees our supported living and outreach services at Cloonavin and is line manager to Laura at Woodford Park. Vikki is a huge Manchester City fan and incredibly knowledgeable with all things football. Her interest in travel, politics and current affairs are all on an equally impressive level.
