FRANCISCO GAXIOLA

I am a native of Los Angeles, CA, growing up in the East L.A. neighborhood. I started playing Tuba in the 5th grade and continued throughout high school at Abraham Lincoln High School in the Lincoln Heights area just a few miles East of Dodger Stadium, where I graduated from in 1999. 6 months after graduation, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a Musician, specifically, Tuba Instrumentalist, and attended recruit training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, CA... I served in the Marine Corps traveling all over the world playing music and filling other military responsibilities, such as when I deployed to Iraq in 2005 in support of Operation: Iraqi Freedom, providing security for a Forward Operating Base in Ramadi.
