I remember my high school English teacher telling me that I was really good at writing research papers and asking me if I ever thought of going into that field. I was equally uninterested and irritated by the question. But here I am, 20 years later, using those skills to tell well-informed stories of community needs, impactful programming, organizational growth, and personal success... In my twenties, I spent a great deal of time in youth development and program development; understanding the fundamentals and building blocks of putting together sustainable programming, measurable outcomes, and telling stories of success.
