ZERO GRAVITY WEB DESIGN - Key Persons

Darren Burns

Darren Burns' areas of expertise are relational database development, researching solutions to technical challenges, and just figuring out how to make things work. His meticulous attention to detail and affinity for structural integrity make his work very stable, reliable and aesthetically pleasing. Recognizing the complexities involved in creating/updating successful websites, Darren has a network of specialists to call on as needed to make sure your website is the best it can be. Darren was born and raised in Australia. He graduated from The University of Queensland with a degree in Computer Science and worked as a Database Analyst/Programmer for 8 years. Following that, Darren spent 5 years as a missionary, leading teams of westerners through China - distributing literature quietly in the night and disappearing as the sun came up. His friends kept telling him he was in the wrong country to find the blonde haired, blue-eyed wife of his dreams. But as fate would have it, an unsuspecting American gal came to Darren's office for some meetings and … Voila, his dream came true! Darren relocated to Colorado Springs to marry Kathy. There he worked for an international ministry for 5 years, doing website design and other IT functions for the last 3 years before starting his own website design and development company. Darren and Kathy currently reside in Colorado Springs with their three children. Darren's interests other than computers and websites are - surfing the web to follow his insatiable sports interests, playing soccer and eating his way around the globe (or watching shows where others are doing that).

Kathy Burns

Kathy loves simplifying things. She is always trying to find ways to take complex matters and fit them into smooth processes. Her areas of expertise are communication, administrative support and project management. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Kathy is a Green Bay Packer's fan, through and through! She grew up on the Mississippi River and looks for every opportunity to get to a lake, river or ocean. After graduating from Bible college in Texas, she spent time as a missionary in Mexico before moving to Colorado. Kathy started working for an international ministry as the department secretary. Twenty years later she had done every job within the international department, including being the department director. After starting a family, working from home was the ideal choice. Kathy was able to continue with the international ministry in a remote capacity until that opportunity ended. Utilizing her administrative and management skills for Zero Gravity Web Design was a natural transition. When Kathy is not working, she is spending time with her family, volunteering at school, church or sports, dreaming of traveling the world again, or hanging out with friends.
