The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences (PBS) is a vital and vibrant department within the College of Arts and Sciences. As the department graduating the most majors in the College, and training doctoral students in two Ph.D. programs, it is well positioned to be at the vanguard of the University's continuing success in gaining national recognition for our outstanding academic and research programs. Our mission is to (1) provide scientifically rigorous and high quality undergraduate and graduate education that will prepare students to be critical consumers of scientific research and educated citizens in a diverse world; (2) foster excellence in basic and applied psychological research; and (3) provide scientific partnership and outreach to the community.
