Charlotte Stachel

Charlotte Stachel is a Ph.D. candidate in Digital Fashion Communication at the Institute of Digital Technologies for Communication at the Università della Svizzera italiana USI in Lugano (Switzerland). In September 2022, she joined USI as a junior researcher and teaching assistant of the MSc in Digital Fashion Communication, a double degree by USI and Université Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne (France). Charlotte Stachel's research project focuses on the digitalization of a brand's fashion heritage and its related digital and phygital communication practices. Her position is funded by the LifestyleTech Competence Center, of which USI is a founding member, and is done within a collaborative project with Bally. Between 2017 and 2022, Charlotte Stachel has been working as a communications specialist at the Federal Department of Justice and Police (FDJP) and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) in Bern. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Research from the University of Fribourg and a Master's Degree in Public Management and Policy with specialization in Public Communication and Management from the University of Bern and USI.

She is a group leader on Digital Fashion Communication Research (www.digitalfashion.ch) at the Institute of Digital Technologies for Communication (USI), where she coordinates research activities by PhD candidates and Master students on online communication practices in the fashion domain. Since 2022, she is Assistant Professor in Digital Transformation at Gdansk University of Technology (Poland). She serves Google within Google Online Marketing Challenge as a part of its Global Academic Panel. Nadzeya has been a visiting researcher at Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong), Business School of the University of Strathclyde (UK), Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand), and Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance of the United Nations University (Portugal). Her visiting scholarships were funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. Her research focus is on online communication practices and digital strategies, ranging from the use of IT for Human Resource Management (eLearning and MOOCs) to online usages and usability studies.

Elisa Barbieri

Elisa Barbieri, graduated in the Faculty of Economics, major in Management at USI - Università della Svizzera italiana (Lugano, Switzerland). For her Master thesis, she focused on the state of art of eLearning programs in fashion companies, presenting their main adoption drivers, how the employees acquired skills, the online training delivery methods as well as their impact on organizations. The thesis was selected for the "ASQ association prize" for the best Master Thesis in Management. She attended the Luxury Management Course at HEC Paris. She has started working on eLearning certification programs with the role of Business Training Specialist in a multinational corporation.

Estefanía Ayala Ramírez

Katharina Sand

Katharina Sand's research centers on the topic of social network tools, sustainability and the transmission of heritage and values in the fashion domain. Following her BA at London's Goldsmith's College and an MA from the Université de Paris 8, she is a fashion curator, editor and professor. She has covered the art and fashion world as a journalist and editor for a variety of publications since 1995, and founded the internationally renowned fashion platform SEPTIEME ETAGE in Geneva in 2000. In 2020 she co-curated the exhibition "Making FASHION Sense" at Switzerland's leading competence center for digital arts HeK , showcasing the radical transformation of the fashion industry through technology and new artistic paths leading towards increasing sustainability. Katharina has taught at HEAD-Genève, PARSONS PARIS (The New School), Savannah's SCAD and the Kunstuniversität Linz. Following an ordinary professorship at the ESM in Montreal, she is a visiting professor at the AMD (Akademie Mode & Design) in Munich. AMD. She was a nominator for the Swiss Design Prize and has presented her research at international conferences including Shanghai, Dubai, Jaipur, as well as at Tedx Transmedia in Rome.

Linda Leppänen

Linda Leppänen is a former student of the MSc in Digital Fashion Communication at the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society at USI in Lugano, Switzerland. Currently she works as a Digital Project Manager at Switch On Lab in Milan providing consulting services for fashion, lifestyle and cosmetics brands. Linda has further academic background in the fashion industry, with a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Marketing and Communication with majors in communication from the Institute of Design (IED Moda) in Milan. For her bachelor thesis, she researched the disruptive change brought by male makeup to the beauty industry in terms of communication strategies and product offerings. She has also completed an internship within the beauty industry as a CRM & Marketing Intelligence Specialist at Intercos and worked as a freelance makeup artist.

His research interests are where communication, education and new media overlap, ranging from computer mediated communication to usability, from eLearning to eTourism and digital Fashion, from ICT4D to eGovernment. He is chair-holder of the UNESCO chair in ICT to develop and promote sustainable tourism in World Heritage Sites, established at USI in 2013, and board member of WHES - World Heritage Experience Switzerland. He is USI's Pro-rector for Education and Students' experience. He is director of the Master in Digital Fashion Communication, done in collaboration with the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and director of the Master in International Tourism. L. Cantoni has been Dean of the Faculty (2010-2014) and President of IFITT - International Federation for IT in Travel and Tourism (2014-January 2018).
