Hillcrest Post Acute began operations in the 1950s as the "Hillcrest Hospital," the main Hospital in Petaluma, until the late 1970s, when it became a Skilled Nursing Facility. For many years it was run as a long-term care facility. Still, in 2016 West Harbor Healthcare took over and renovated and repurposed the facility to serve as a Short-Term Rehabilitation facility in Petaluma. When the new owners began business in 2016, it started with a very simple business strategy: focus on quality and service while remaining mindful of the challenges and changes facing seniors in today's world.
