I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and a certified life coach. I grew up in the Gainesville, FL area. In 1985, I graduated with an Early childhood education degree from the University of South Carolina. After living in many different states, and raising 4 kids, I went back to school graduating from Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois with my clinical and school counseling degree. I started my career working at an agency where I served as a school based counselor for 2 years. In 2011, I moved to Ames, Iowa where I worked in a large group private practice working with clients from all walks of life. In 2020 I decided I was ready to opened my own private practice and here I am!... I enjoy working with college students, adults, teens, families and couples who present with a variety of issues such as adjustment disorders, transitional issues, depression, anxiety, OCD, grief, trauma, anger, ADHD, gender identity, personality disorders, parenting and relationship issues.
