- Chief of Staff to the CIO
As the Chief of Staff to the CIO, Asuka serves as the touch point to facilitate communication between the CIO and all the teams at SYNQA. She provides hands-on support on projects to foster the company growth and help nurture investor relations. Prior to joining SYNQA, Asuka worked as a Business Development Executive for Omise (Payment Gateway). Previously, she was the ASEAN Regional Business Development Manager and Energy Manager at Chaintope, a blockchain research and development startup, and she was a Project Manager at ETIC., an accelerator for social impact startups.
Asuka holds a BA in Development Studies from Lund University in Sweden.
Corey is the General Counsel of SYNQA. He has considerable experience in fintech, regulatory compliance, private investment funds, and mergers and acquisitions with a specialization in cross-border transitions.
Corey has worked in various areas of the globe, specifically in North America, South America and Asia for over 10 years. Prior to joining SYNQA, Corey founded Veritas Global Law and Veritas Global Consulting. He was also a partner track Associate with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, representing clients across the United States, South America and Asia across a broad range of corporate transactions. He began his career as a partner track Associate with Proskauer Rose LLP in the corporate law practice group.
Corey holds a BA from Hampton University in Political Science with a minor in Economics and Spanish, a JD from Boston College Law School, an MBA from the Boston College Carroll School of Management, a LL.M from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. Additionally, he holds a certificate in financial valuation via the Valuation Program at the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School.

As the Chief of Staff (COS) to the CEO at SYNQA, Jitthip makes decisions on behalf of the CEO specifically on topics such as corporate management, internal policy and processes, hiring, and budget approval. With a good overview of all business activities, she provides clarification on the direction and serves as the touch point between Jun and the teams on business development investments and investor relations. Jitthip has previously been working with Omise Payment as an Operations Manager and Director of Human Labs Operations. Prior to joining SYNQA and its subsidiaries, she has served as the Head of operations and Editor-in-Chief at Groupon, and was the Head of Content at Zalora group. She also worked at Agoda as a Public Relations Associate and Content Editor Associate.

Jun is a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. He is the Founder and Group CEO of SYNQA, previously named Omise Holdings. The company's mission is to connect people, businesses, and society in innovative ways that spread the wealth of financial opportunity and provide fair and open access to a growing economic ecosystem. Jun established SYNQA in 2015 to invest and manage companies that deliver fintech solutions and products to clients around the world.
With a background in design engineering and expertise in e-commerce, mobile payment and life log, Jun also founded Omise Payment in 2013 and OMG Network in 2017. Today, Omise is Southeast Asia's leading payment service provider and the OMG Network is a fast and secured network to exchange digital assets.
He also founded 4Treasure, a location-based coupon service and LIFEMee, an aggregation platform that manages user's financial statements. He also served as Director of Alpha-do Inc., overseeing large-scale projects with Japan's biggest telecommunications company, NTT.
Jun is a founding partner of BUIDL which was acquired by Securitize, a compliance platform and protocol for creating and managing digital securities. He is also a founding partner of DFCapital. Jun was included in Nikkei's list of 50 people who will change the world.

Kingkanok is the IT Manager in IT Security. In addition to providing support to the CIO, she also supports the SYNQA team with IT related tasks. Kingkanok has over 15 years of experience in engineering and operations. Prior to joining SYNQA, she was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer at OPTOK.CO. Ltd., a company that provides multiple online media solutions such as mobile search engine, ad network, and lead generator. She was also the Chief Technology Officer at Mhelp (now EdSystems Co., Ltd.), a worldwide distributor of pre-owned barcode scanners and printers.

Mai currently serves as the VP, Corporate Development at SYNQA. She is responsible for formulating and executing SYNQA and its subsidiaries' strategy. Mai also works on business development initiatives on joint ventures and strategic partnerships, including market research, financial analysis, and business modelling. She has 10 years of experience in research, consulting, business development in fintech, blockchain, e-commerce, and digital advertisement. Before joining SYNQA, she was a Senior Analyst at DFC, an investment fund for blockchain technology based in Singapore. She also held various positions at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) where she was responsible for policy analysis and due diligence on finance for infrastructure development projects in Southeast Asia.
Mai holds a BA in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Tokyo and a MA in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.

Manami is currently an Advisor at SYNQA She has more than 15 years of experience in several industries including the medical and beauty industry, advertising, import and export, ecommerce, and fintech industry. Throughout her experience, she acquired a wide range of skills, especially in the finance and accounting areas.

Nopporn is currently the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)/General Accounting Manager at SYNQA. She carries out accounting and finance activities, compiles results and reports. She utilizes her 10 years of experience in progressive finance and accounting to help the finance department.

Petra is the Director of Culture at SYNQA. She is responsible for human resources initiatives, culture awareness, and introducing processes and structures regarding onboarding and performance evaluation. She has more than 15 years of experience in building strong human resources departments. Petra previously served as Head of People of Operations at Omise. Prior to joining SYNQA and its subsidiaries, she was the General Manager and Lead Consultant at Witt/Kieffer International where she focused on growing the executive search firm in Hong Kong and Singapore. She also worked at CompaNanny Nederland B.V. as a Manager HR & Recruitment and worked at Maandag in various human resources related positions.
Petra holds a Human Resources Management degree from Saxion University of Applied Sciences.

Jan is the Personal Assistant to the Group CEO. She joined Omise in 2016, serving as an assistant to executives and office manager for Omise Payment. In 2019, she transitioned to SYNQA full time. Jan provides support to the Group CEO to ensure smooth business operations. Among many other responsibilities, she oversees meeting and business trip arrangements and contributes to initiatives to ensure the well-being of staff at the office.
Roy is the VP of Strategic Planning at SYNQA. He is responsible for helping the company shape a clear vision of the firm through strategic analysis, market research, financial forecasting, and tracking industry trends to support business growth. He has a long track record of supporting small to medium sized organizations in setting and achieving strategic milestones. Roy has more than 15 years of experience managing a wide range of operational, finance, and engineering development projects. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of GO.Exchange, a company founded by SYNQA. He also worked in the aerospace and defense systems technology solutions sector as an Avionics Technician and Material Control Manager for the United States Marine Corps.
He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and has completed the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training program through UCLA Extension.

As the VP of Corporate Management at SYNQA, Ryoko is responsible for establishing strong corporate governance and internal controls at the group level. She has more than 10 years of experience in business development, data analysis, and project management. Ryoko has previously been working with Omise as the Head of Business Intelligence, VP of Programme Management, and VP of International Business Development. She was also a Director at Omise Payment Holdings. Prior to joining SYNQA and its subsidiaries, she has served as a Network and Radio Engineer at Nokia Siemens Networks and Motorola Japan.
Ryoko holds a BA in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and a MSc in International Developing Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. She also holds a MBA from the National University of Singapore.
SoonHee Kim - Chief Investment Officer
SoonHee is currently the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of SYNQA. She oversees the group's corporate investment strategy and corporate incubation. SoonHee has over 15 years of experience in an eclectic range of disciplines including strategy, trade and financial investment, international M&A, banking, digital marketing, and venture incubation consulting in Asia and the United States. As a former Director of a corporate venture capital, she specializes in guiding and providing hands-on expertise on strategies for equity building and business development at all stages to global startups. She also assumed a wide range of senior positions in the global banking and trading sector.
Prior to joining SYNQA, she was a Partner at OPT SEA Pte. Ltd., the corporate venture arm of OPT Group listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. SoonHee is a recipient of the Global Corporate Venturing Rising Stars Award 2018.
Takaaki is the Group CTO of SYNQA. He is a computational scientist with a strong background in coding, service and system architecture design. Prior to his current role, he served as the CTO to more than five startups in Japan and Asia and he was the Director of Product in Vietnam and Technology Lead in Singapore for DeNA. Takaaki was also the first Japanese developer to join Baidu to work on mobile search engine research and development. He is the author of numerous publications including the book "Web API: The Good Parts" which became a best seller on Amazon Japan.
Takaaki holds a BA in Organic Chemistry from Keio University and a MSc in Molecular Biology from the University of Tokyo.
Yusuke is the VP of Investor Relations and Strategic Partnerships at SYNQA. He is responsible for the implementation of investor relations and strategic partnerships. Yusuke has over ten years of experience in venture capital business and other asset management businesses, such as public equity investments in the Middle East& Africa and growth private equity investments in South East Asia. Before joining SYNQA, Yusuke started his career in the investor relations department at SBI Group, a TSE listed financial Group in Japan. Later, he played a wide range of essential roles at the Group, including Managing Partner of its Israel-based VC fund and a director of Thailand-based JV private equity fund. He was stationed in Thailand, Israel, United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain to propel the businesses in his professional career.
Yusuke holds a bachelor's degree in Business and Commerce from Keio University, Japan.
