AMY WELLNESS FOUNDATION

Our mission is to work collaboratively to find preventative, up-stream, and innovative solutions to alleviate health disparities to transform our three-county region, Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey counties (AMY)... The AMY Wellness Foundation ensures diversity among its Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of representatives from each county we serve and mirrors the demographic make-up of our three-county region... We believe the most effective way to create change is through collaboration. We strive to understand health inequities that affect our communities by redefining who community "experts" are. We learn from advocates, leaders, and those with lived experiences through strategic meetings that ultimately drive our efforts as an organization.
