Mrs. Kenter has been a member of the Provident Credit Union Supervisory Committee since April 2005. She holds a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry and German from the University of South Carolina. She also holds a BS in Nursing from Texas Woman's University in Dallas. After working in Labor and Delivery at Parkland County Hospital she transferred to Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle. She ultimately settled in the South Bay, working in the Operating Room at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose.
In 1993, she left nursing and concentrated on community fundraising in Silicon Valley for the last twenty-four years. She currently sits as a non-affiliated member of numerous local institutional committees. She helps oversee the humane care and use of laboratory animals used in biomedical research and teaching.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Arturo graduated with a B.S. in Communications from Notre Dame de Namur University. At the same time, Arturo initiated his own business and he is a successful entrepreneur. He has strong delegating skills and is a firm negotiator. Arturo enjoys extreme sports such as dirt-biking, motorcycle riding, sky diving and he enjoys watching sports like basketball and hockey.
Mr. Lanzone holds a BA from Queens College of the City University and a JD from the University of Santa Clara. He served as Provident's general legal counsel from 1977-2005. He has volunteered his service as a member of the Board of Directors since 2005.
He was affiliated with the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce and Educational Foundation and Archdiocese of San Francisco. He has been practicing law for over 47 years and is a partner at Aaronson, Dickerson, Cohn, & Lanzone law firm. He is a past President of the San Mateo County Bar Association.

Ms. Boland has been a member of Provident's Board of Directors since September of 2012. She previously served on the Supervisory Committee for seven years and is currently a consultant to several local government agencies. Ms. Boland worked for the City of San Carlos for nearly 20 years. She served as it's Director of Parks and Recreation, Director of Community Relations, and City Clerk.
Ms. Boland is a Certified Municipal Clerk. She was clerk of the board for the San Mateo County Transit District and San Mateo County Harbor Commission. She holds a Master's in Public Administration from California State University East Bay. She received a degree in Business Administration from Notre Dame De Namur.

Mr. Buckmaster has been in the interactive marketing and e-commerce field for more than 15 years. Currently, he is the Director of Sales for StrongMail, an industry leader in e-mail and marketing automation software. He has also held similar positions at ExactTarget and SilverPOP. He was a Director of Marketing at Insweb, an online insurance company. He was a lobbyist for the Silicon Valley Manufacturing Group, a public policy trade association representing tech companies.
Mr. Buckmaster served as Mayor of the City of San Carlos and at that time was one the youngest elected officials in the nation. He received his BA in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University. He served on numerous boards, task forces, and commissions that reflect his interest in education, government, business, and children. Currently he is the Co-Chair and Class Representative for Loyola Marymount University's Class of 1994. He's served on the Board of Directors of Provident Credit Union since 2003.

Mr. Pelzner has been a partner with Pelzner and Associates, a privately held firm in Burlingam, for the past 18 years. Before Pelzner and Associates, Mr. Pelzner worked four years at Deloitte and Touche, San Francisco, California. During his tenure, he was Senior Financial Auditor and Consultant.
Mr. Pelzner's educational background includes graduation from the University of California, Riverside with honors. He then became a Certified Public Accountant in 1999. Mr. Pelzner began his volunteer service at Provident in April of 2003 as an elected member of the Supervisory Committee. He was then elected to the Board of Directors in April 2005.
Fatemeh has been with Provident Credit Union for 20 years as a Mortgage Consultant after entering the lending industry in 1992 as a loan officer. Mr. Gomes is a CPA and has 23 years of credit union experience with O'Rourke Sacher and Moulton and McGladrey & Pullen. The last eight years was as partner in the Brisbane, California office. His background is in credit union accounting systems, human resources and all areas of operations. Mr. Gomes also serves on the Board of Directors of the San Mateo County Community College Foundation.

Mr. Descalso is a Principal at Edgewood Partners Insurance Center (EPIC), a commercial insurance brokerage located in San Mateo, CA. He has been a broker since 1983. Mr. McCurdy began his career in the Savings and Loan industry. He's been involved in residential and apartment lending for over 33 years. He was the director of acquisitions and structured financing for the Lembi Group, an apartment acquisition company. He was the Broker of Record, Manager and an MLO for HomeOwners Finance Center. He was the VP of Secondary Marketing, Regional Sales Manager, and Director of Strategic Growth for Continental Savings of America.

Greg is Co-Founder and Managing Director at Hutchinson Equipment Services, a global ISO container manufacturing, sales, and logistics firm based in the Bay Area, established in 2011.
Greg is a San Francisco native, Eagle Scout (Troop 14), a member of the San Francisco YMCA Board of Managers and former President of St. Mary's College Alumni Association. He was elected to the Provident Credit Union Supervisory Committee in the Spring of 2021.

Education: Mr. Ernest holds a BA, Economics from San Jose State University and an MBA from St. Mary's College, Moraga, CA. He is also a graduate of the Credit Union Executive Society's CEO Institute.
Mr. Ernest began his career in the savings and loan industry and worked in banking and credit unions for over 32 years. Prior to working for Provident, Mr. Ernest was Vice President and Director of Mortgage Operations at Continental Savings of San Francisco. He managed the mortgage operations for a commercial bank. He was an advisory member of the Fair Lending Consortium of the Bay Area. He was a member of Freddie Mac's National Credit Union Advisory Council. He was a member of the National Advisory Council for the CUNA Mutual Mortgage Insurance Company. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Catalight Foundation and serves as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair.
John comes to Provident Credit Union with over 21 years of experience in financial services. The majority of his career was with MetLife, AXA, and Symetra Financial, where he was a Regional Vice President for their retirement divisions. His work experience also includes being a Wealth Management Consultant for Saybrus Partners, specializing in wealth management, protection, and distribution strategies.
As a Financial Consultant located at Provident Credit Union, John offers a wide range of services, from helping with individual investments to developing a retirement strategy. His goal is to facilitate the process of building, preserving, distributing, and transitioning wealth for his clients, custom tailored for the years ahead.
John received his Bachelor's Degree from UC Irvine and holds FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations through Securities America and Life & Health insurance licenses. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and two kids, playing golf, and finding new recipes to recreate at home

An accomplished sales professional and community leader, Joshua joined Provident Credit Union in May of 2015. Joshua spent nine years in the Wine Industry, worked as a Levi's Stadium Sales Consultant for the 49ers, and was Director of Membership for the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce. Joshua was born and raised in San Jose, CA and is a dedicated community leader as the Founder and President of Little Italy San Jose.
Mrs. Rothe began her career in credit unions in the late 1970s. She worked as the Office Manager of CSEA Credit Union in Burlingame. In the mid-1980s, CSEA Credit Union merged with Provident Credit Union and Mrs. Rothe transitioned in as a loan officer. In 1986, Provident's President, Mrs. Ludelle Morrow, invited Mrs. Rothe to become the Executive Assistant to the Board of Directors. After nine years of service she retired from her position with Provident due to family demands.
In April of 1995, the Board requested that Mrs. Rothe return. She was elected to serve as a volunteer on Provident's Supervisory Committee. Her unique position of having worked within the Credit Union's operation provided her with an advantage. She served on the Supervisory Committee for six years and served as the Committee's Chair for two years. In April of 2001, she was elected to serve on Provident's Board of Directors. She served as Chair of the Board from April 2007 to April 2009.

Matthew comes to Provident Credit Union with over 16 years of experience as a licensed Financial Advisor. Prior to Provident, he managed client accounts with Chase Investment Services, Wells Fargo Private Client Services, and Citicorp Smith Barney.
Matthew earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Finance at San Jose State University and is a licensed FINRA representative holding FINRA Series 7 and 24 and NASAA Series 63 and 65 licenses through Securities America. He specializes in building diversified portfolios focused on generating income and limiting risk.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from San Francisco State University. Prior to joining Provident Michael worked with Lucille Packard Children's Hospital. Michael is dedicated to helping his clients and their employees/members take full advantage of their partnership with Provident Credit Union. Michael is the liaison for the California Teachers Association and the California School Employees Association.

Ms. Foust is a leading voice of the business community in San Mateo County and across the Bay Area. She is trusted on issues of economy, attracting and retaining employers and jobs, and creating partnerships between business and government. She currently serves on the NOVA-Workforce Investment board, the Bay Area Council Economic Institute, and the Peninsula Television board. She was the President & CEO of the San Mateo County Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA). She had a twenty-year career with Alsace Development International USA, Inc. as Executive Vice President & Treasurer of the Corporation. She managed offices in Boston, Los Angeles, Redwood City and Sydney, Australia.
Ms. Foust served for twelve years on the City Council in Redwood City, including as Mayor and Vice Mayor. She successfully negotiated the Development Agreement to bring Stanford University to the community. She oversaw the building of a Public Library, approved a recycled water plant, and secured funding to restore Bair Island. Ms. Foust also served on the boards of the San Mateo County Transportation Authority for ten years. She served five as Chair and seven years on the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority. She's currently on the board of the Redwood City Improvement Association and RWC-SMC Chamber of Commerce.
Today Ms. Foust serves on the Supervisory Committee for Provident Credit Union. She serves on the San Mateo boards of the First Five and the Event Center-Fair Board of Directors. She's also on the Rutgers University Big Data Advisory Board and San Mateo County Community College District Bond Oversight Committee. She's named one of the "Most Influential Women in Business in the Bay Area" since 2009, by the San Francisco Business Times.
Mr. Johnson earned a BS in mathematics from Southern University in Louisiana and a MA in mathematics from Stanford University. He is Superintendent Emeritus of the San Mateo Union High School District (SMUHSD). He began his career as a mathematics teacher. His career spans forty-five years in service to Secondary and Higher Education.
His career includes Director of Human Relations, Principal, and Director of Personnel in the San Mateo Union High School District. Before his retirement, he led the passage of a $298 million bond measure to refurbish the district schools. The Board of Trustees voted to name the Capuchino High School Theater Complex in his honor.
He served for nine years as a member of the Board of Directors for the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. He served as the chair for two years. He served as the Director of Administrative Services and Instructor at Notre Dame de Namur University, in Belmont, CA. He has chaired more than twenty-five Western Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation committees. He's served on many educational and community boards, locally and nationally. Mr. Johnson joined Provident's Board in April 2003 and previously served on the Credit Union's Supervisory Committee for six years.
Mr. McWhirter attended the University of South Alabama and San Diego State University. He was the Manager of Shreve & Co. Jewelers in San Francisco for four years; Director of the Precious Jewels Salon, at Neiman Marcus, San Francisco for ten years; and General Manager of Coit Services in Burlingame for nine years. He is currently an owner of Tailored Living and Premier Garage of the Bay Area and serves as a volunteer for the Placerville Police Department. Mr. McWhirter has served on Provident's Supervisory Committee since April of 2005.
Mr. O'Brien holds a degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University. He currently works at Cushman & Wakefield in Palo Alto where he is a Director. Mr. O'Brien has worked in commercial real estate since 2002. He has developed key relationships with property owners and business owners along the Peninsula and South Bay. He has a strong knowledge base of the current commercial real estate environment. He previously worked in the technology industry in various sales and marketing roles. Mr. O'Brien was elected to the Provident Credit Union Supervisory Committee in April 2005. After serving in that role for 13 years, he was elected to the Board of Directors in 2018.
Scott comes to Provident Credit Union with over 22 years of experience as a Financial Advisor and management experience with such firms as Charles Schwab and Merrill Lynch. As a licensed Financial Advisor, he has helped many members save for college education, allocate current and future retirement monies, prepare for wealth transfer, and generally, help create a plan that is designed around the financial lifestyle the client desires..
Scott provides unbiased choices and advice using mutual funds, annuities, life insurance, and long-term care, in addition to stocks and bonds. He has been licensed and offering investment advice since 1990, and has used his skills as a stock trader, bond trader, and wealth manager to help savers and investors make wise financial decisions.

A credentialed CPA, he is currently the controller for apparel manufacturer Byer California based in San Francisco. He was previously employed by Wells Fargo working in several roles in the commercial lending area and was once controller for chocolatier Joseph Schmidt Confections.
Mr. McCormack resides on the Peninsula where he is active in church leadership and his interests include speed-hiking, fostering dogs for adoption, and world travel.
