Doug Carleton specializes in access to capital for small businesses, working with both startups and existing businesses with particular emphasis on financing strategies for both debt and equity. He was a mentor with SCORE Richmond for eight years and in 2014 created for SCORE Richmond the first business model canvas competition held in Richmond which ran successfully for four years. He has over twenty-five years of experience in small business finance including twelve years in SBA lending.
