Admiral Wieland

Job Titles:
  • Graduate Assistant
Admiral is a Ph.D. student in U.S. History. Their research focuses on the forcible sterilization of incarcerated men and boys in Indiana at the turn of the twentieth century. They received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Gender & Women's Studies from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. As OVDPI's Graduate Assistant, they provide research, logistical, and clerical support for projects, programming, and initiatives across Bloomington's campus.

Bukola Fasipe

Job Titles:
  • Student Intern for the Jane Jorgensen Internship Program
Bukola Fasipe is a junior majoring in Sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences. She works in the Office of Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion as one of the inaugural Jane Jorgensen DEI interns. Her interest is around student advocacy and her work focuses on supporting student leaders and organizations, especially those from underrepresented groups, on campus. She also assists in the development and implementation of some OVPDI and OVPDEMA initiatives like Jane Jorgensen DEI internship program.

James C. Wimbush

Job Titles:
  • Interim Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion
James C. Wimbush is the interim vice provost for diversity and inclusion at IU Bloomington. Wimbush and his team oversee diversity planning and reporting throughout the IU Bloomington campus by working to cultivate community for underrepresented faculty, staff, and students; and address campus climate issues. OVPDI has implemented anti-bias hiring workshops for faculty who serve on hiring committees and is seeking to better use existing strategic hiring funds to bring in underrepresented tenure-track faculty, including senior women in STEM fields. Johnson Chair for Diversity and Leadership, James C. Wimbush, serves as acting vice provost for diversity and inclusion on the IU Bloomington campus during the 2022-2023 academic year; while continuing his role as Indiana University's vice president for diversity, equity, and multicultural affairs.

Ronda Stogsdill

Job Titles:
  • Project Manager
Ronda Stogsdill oversees the structure, operations, protocols, and logistics for initiatives, collaborations, and outreach to faculty, staff, and students. She leads all projects and special events for the office and assists in development, budgeting, and stragegy. Ronda manages communication through social media, marketing, and promotions. Born in Bloomington and raised in nearby Owen County, she has a passion for people and a lifelong enthusiasm for the mission of her alma mater, Indiana University. Prior to her current role at IU Bloomington, she served as an administrative assistant at the Kelley School of Business, the executive secretary in the Office of the Provost, and Executive Assistant to the Vice Provost. She has over twenty years of executive-level office administration experience. Ronda holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Indiana University. Project Manager Ronda Stogsdill oversees the structure, operations, protocols, and logistics for all initiatives, collaborations, and outreach to faculty, staff, and students. She plans and coordinates OVPDI projects and special events.
