Adele is a Solicitor at Anthony Gold and joined the firm in March 2023. Adele works in the Wills, Trusts, and Estates department in the London Bridge office.
She graduated with a first-class honours from Northumbria University in 2016 with an integrated master's degree in Law. She then trained at a full-service law firm in Northumberland, before qualifying into a Court of Protection firm in Durham. Adele moved to London in 2019 where she has practised in broader Private Client for several years.
Adele provides a wide range of advice to clients in relation to the preparation of straightforward to more complex Wills, assisting with applications for Grants of Representation and Estate Administration, as well as providing advice in relation to Inheritance Tax and Estate Planning.
She works alongside other members of the team assisting with the preparation and on-going administration of Trusts. Adele also has experience in providing advice on capacity matters such as Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyship applications.
Adele is currently studying to become a fully accredited member of the Society for Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Ali Malsher is a Partner on the Medical Claims team and an expert in surgical, cardiac and emergency medicine cases, including sepsis.
She is a former nurse who is often asked to comment on current legal affairs and breaking news in the broadcast media. Ali utilises her medical background to unravel inconsistencies in medical notes and is able to translate legal complexities to her clients in layman's terms.
Ali is an expert in the field of vulnerable clients, particularly those who are deemed not to have capacity.

Alina Shevchenko is a Paralegal in the Court of Protection department based in the London Bridge office. She joined Anthony Gold in August 2023 and assists the team with Property and Affairs Deputyship matters.
Alina completed her Bachelor's degree in law at Newcastle University, then the Legal Practice Course alongside her Master's in law at BPP University.
Alina has previous experience of assisting fee earners with Health and Welfare matters, which includes Deprivation of Liberty challenges raised under the Mental Capacity Act, Irish Wardships and Community Care cases.

Amy is a clinical negligence solicitor in the injury and medical claims department. Amy qualified in 2016 after working as a Court of Protection Paralegal and then training at the firm. She works closely with Dr Jock Mackenzie specialising in claimant clinical negligence. She assists on some of his complex and high-value clinical negligence cases as well as taking the lead in other cases. Amy's practice involves all aspects of clinical negligence, including misdiagnosis, delayed diagnosis of cancer, childbirth injury, sepsis, and surgical and clinical error.

Andrew Weir is a Partner and Head of Conveyancing and Property Services at Anthony Gold. He specialises in all areas of commercial and residential conveyancing practice, based in our Head Office at London Bridge. His main areas of expertise are drafting and negotiating commercial leases for offices and other business premises, acting for developers, and undertaking a wide range of residential property transactions.
Andrew is a people person and immediately makes clients feel comfortable. He is dedicated to making conveyancing law, whether it be residential or commercial, simple. His clients enjoy the confidence of knowing that all technical matters of their transactions are meticulously managed.
Good communication is exceptionally important to Andrew. He strives to make himself available to his clients, responds promptly to queries and works conscientiously towards achieving his clients' objectives within their required timeframe.
Aneil Balgobin has over 20 years' experience advising businesses, senior executives and private individuals on their employment rights and obligations. He joins from a national firm where he was National Head of Employment Law and established an enviable track record of successfully resolving employment disputes for both employers and employees, as well as advising businesses on their HR strategies and policies. He has a particular expertise in advising employers and senior employees on restrictive covenants and their enforceability.

Anna Sibbald joined Anthony Gold in 2023 as a Non-Member Partner and is a Joint Head of Trusts and Estates department.
With over 30 years' experience, Anna brings a wealth of knowledge from a wide range of private client work including management and compliance of trusts, including charitable foundations, succession and tax planning, dealing with all aspects of income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax for individuals, both UK and non-UK domiciled, trustees and executors, probate and administration of estates.
Anna has a particular focus on cross border estates, dealing with the complexities of inheritance tax treaties and frequently liaises with other professionals, both in the UK and abroad, and has dealt with many jurisdictions including Guernsey, Jersey, the USA, Australia, the Middle East and the Far East.
Anna believes in the human approach and taking away the strain from her clients at, so often, very difficult times of their lives. She is pro-active, discreet, and always available to her clients. She is also fluent in Polish.
In working closely with other departments across the firm, Anna is able to offer her clients an all-round service.
Aryan joined Anthony Gold as a Paralegal in the Employment and Trade Union team in September 2023 and is based in the London Bridge office.
He graduated with a 2:1 degree in Law with Business at the University of Portsmouth and completed the combined LLM LPC at BPP University, achieving a Distinction.
Based in our London Bridge office, Associate Solicitor Asad is a specialist in personal injury law. He became a lawyer because he wanted to help people in need and his strong track record of securing large compensation awards for clients with catastrophic injuries shows that he is achieving his goal.
Along with the rest of our personal injury team, Asad's focus upon first taking instruction is to organise funding for rehabilitation and put in place a case manager, counselling, and any other support required by his client and/or their family. With the NHS stretched to capacity, Asad swiftly ascertains the rehabilitation needs of all his clients and makes sure a comprehensive plan is in place for private/specialist treatment. He then turns his attention to the settlement, working to ensure his clients receive the compensation needed to support them and their families.
Asad previously practised as a family lawyer; hence he prides himself on his integrity and transparency. He is fluent in Gujarati, Hindi, and Urdu, and clients are immediately struck by his calm, compassionate manner.
Ben is a Senior Associate in our Injury and Medical Claims team. He has been helping those who have suffered serious and life-changing injuries for over 17 years, with particular expertise in claims involving brain, spinal, serious orthopaedic and psychiatric injuries. He has extensive experience in dealing with both accidents in the workplace and road traffic accidents and is a firm believer that every client must be treated with equal importance, whether their claim is worth £5,000 or £5million. As such, Ben runs every claim in the same methodical, aggressive manner with the ultimate goal of achieving the best possible outcome.
Beth Holden is a partner at Anthony Gold. She specialises in our Civil Litigation department, based in our South London offices at London Bridge.
Beth has a varied and complex commercial and civil litigation practice. She is adept at forming strong working relationships with her clients with a focus on managing the pressures of litigation.
She joined the firm in March 2012. She is experienced in professional negligence, breach of trust, contentious probate, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, debt recovery, corporate fraud, shareholder disputes, directors' misfeasance, and contract disputes.
Beth has a First Class Honours degree in English from the University of York. She obtained a Distinction on her LPC at the College of Law and went on to acquire a Higher Rights of Audience accreditation whilst still a trainee solicitor.
Beth's notable cases include McCabe v McCabe [2015] EWHC 1591 (Ch), a contentious probate dispute, in which her client was successful, and the widely reported case Purrunsing v A'Court & Co & House Owners Conveyancers Ltd [2016] EWHC 789 (Ch) in which Beth acted for the successful claimant who recovered 100% of the money he lost through property fraud. That case was the first to consider the obligations of vendor's solicitors in property fraud transaction.
Beth takes a commercial approach to her work and serving her clients. She is attuned to the benefit of alternative dispute resolution, and has successfully negotiated many of her cases, as well as taking matters through to trial.
Bethany joined Anthony Gold as a Paralegal in the Injury and Medical claims department in February 2023. She assists partner Jenny Kennedy with her Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence claims.
Bethany graduated with a 1 st in Law in 2021 from the University of Exeter and completed her LPC LLM at the University of Law in 2022.
Camilla joined Anthony Gold as a Solicitor in the Injury and Medical claims department in August 2022. After studying Biomedical Science as an undergraduate, she went on to complete her Masters in Medical Ethics and Medical Law at King's College London. Camilla then undertook the Graduate Diploma in Law before obtaining her Masters of Law in Legal Practice, both at the University of Law. She has also taken various online courses on Medical Law at the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education and Harvard.
In April 2017, Camilla joined a human rights law firm as a paralegal in the Clinical Negligence department, where she also completed her Training Contract. Upon qualifying as a solicitor in September 2021, Camilla joined a firm where she predominantly worked on women's health claims as well as other complex injury claims.
At Anthony Gold Camilla will be working with Partner Dr Jock Mackenzie and Senior Associate Amy Wedgwood on high value Clinical Negligence claims. She has a wide range of experiences in client facing roles and brings the benefit of this expertise to her day-to-day activities.
Carmine Procaccini is a solicitor at Anthony Gold. He specialises in the Business Services department, based in our South London office at London Bridge.
Individuals who have litigation problems regularly instruct Carmine to help them with their cases. In most cases it is a situation where they have entered into contracts or other bargains which have, for them, gone wrong. Carmine's experience in a number of areas of the law, including insolvency, enforcement of Orders, defamation, intellectual property, landlord and tenant issues means that he has experience in relation to not only the litigation process but post litigation matters such as enforcement of Orders.
Carmine is instructed because he can make complex legal issues appear straightforward and can offer a client clarity. This helps his clients make decisions in an informed way that they feel comfortable with.
Carmine is well known and widely respected in his field. He is regularly recommended by other sections of the profession including barristers. He is a formidable ‘fighter' and someone who a client will be glad to have ‘fighting their corner'.
He is well known at the Italian Consulate who regularly recommend him to prospective Italian clients.
Carmine is also a fifth Dan black belt in the martial art of Tang Soo-Do. He has been training for 32 years and regularly teaches as well.
In addition, as a result of his past life, he is a session guitarist and plays in the well-known Led Zeppelin tribute band, Get Zeppelin.
Caroline is a solicitor who works exclusively in mediation, working online and in London Bridge and Streatham. She specialises in all aspects of family law, concentrating especially on financial matters and children issues.
Chikira is a paralegal in the Housing team, working for Andrew Brookes (Partner and Head of Housing and Property Disputes).
Christopher joined Anthony Gold in August 2022 as a Solicitor in the Commercial department, specialising in disputes surrounding wills, trusts and probate. His work encompasses disputes over the validity of wills, testamentary capacity, undue influence, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and disputes over the administration of trusts and estates. Prior to joining Anthony Gold, Christopher worked at a Legal 500 firm in Buckinghamshire, focusing on contentious trusts and probate litigation, where he also completed his training contract.
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Spanish from the University of Exeter in 2015. He then completed his Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Master of Science in Law, Business & Management (MSc/LPC) degree at the University of Law in London.
Christopher has completed the Association of Contentious Trust & Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) training course and is a member of the Contentious Trust Association (ConTrA).
Clemmie joined Anthony Gold as a paralegal in the Family department in June 2023. She originally studied Animal Science at the University of Nottingham, graduating in 2020. She then studied the MA Law and the LPC LLM at the University of Law, graduating in 2021 and 2022, respectively, with Distinctions. After graduating, Clemmie worked at a family law firm before joining Anthony Gold.
Clemmie assists Fiona Lyon and David Emmerson on a number of complex financial, matrimonial, cohabitation, and children cases.
Clifford Tibber is a partner at Anthony Gold. He specialises in the commercial dispute resolution department and is based in our South London offices at London Bridge. He is an accredited civil and commercial mediator and a Higher Court (Civil proceedings) advocate.
He deals with a wide range of disputes including breach of contract; property-related disputes, professional negligence, and debt collection. He has experience in international arbitration and cross-jurisdictional challenges.
For several years Clifford represented survivors and families of victims of the 7/7 London bombings in their campaign for a public inquiry and represented seven of the bereaved families at the inquests. One of his client's states "His kindness, patience and supportiveness has gone beyond the basic remit of what was asked of him, and he has helped us to overcome many obstacles that we would have found insurmountable otherwise."
Clifford recently acted against a now-defunct firm of solicitors on behalf of a significant number of clients concerning investments made under a property investment scheme. The case was settled on terms which remain confidential to the parties.
He regularly receives instructions from distressed investors looking to recoup their money.
Admitted as a solicitor in 1984 and with a string of notable cases under his belt, Clifford spends his spare time enjoying cricket, football, and the theatre.
David Emmerson OBE is a partner at Anthony Gold. He specialises in family law and relationship breakdowns and is based in our South London offices at London Bridge and is the Winner of the John Cornwell Award 2023.
David has particular expertise in helping separating couples resolve complex financial issues and child arrangements. He is experienced at dealing with both pre and post-nuptial settlements as well as co-habitation law.
As an accredited mediator, a hybrid accredited mediator and an experienced Collaborative family lawyer, David aims to resolve disputes outside of Court. Almost all of David's clients have been referred by previous clients, fellow professionals and judges.
David is chair of Resolution's Dispute Resolution committee and a part time District Judge accredited to undertake complex financial remedy proceedings and Children Act cases, giving him a unique perspective and knowledge in successfully resolving cases.
David is the winner of Resolution's (the organisation of family law professionals) Lifetime Achievement Award 2023 for exceptional contribution to and innovative development of the out-of-court settlement of family disputes. In particular for his remarkable, outstanding and sustained contribution to family justice and the high quality and success rate of his out-of-court resolution, such as mediation and Collaborative practice.
In June 2004 David was awarded an OBE for his work in legal services nationally and particularly in London.

David Marshall is the managing partner of Anthony Gold, who combines his leadership role with his passion of helping clients in complex cases. Since David became managing partner in 1997, the firm has grown organically and through strategic takeovers of smaller practices.
David is a highly experienced solicitor and an expert at handling high value complex brain and psychiatric injury cases. He also represents clients in commercial matters as well as employment law cases involving stress at work.
David is ranked as a "leading individual" by his peers in the profession. His sharp mind benefits both the firm he manages and the clients he represents because he can bring the same forensic eye for detail and clear thinking to both.
A recent notable success was the matter of Stansfield v BBC where David represented the claimant, Jem Stansfield. After a trial to assess damages over 10 days in May and June 2021, Mrs Justice Yip assessed damages, after the one-third deduction, at £1,617,286.20.
Having run the business for many years David is particularly aware of the impact of costs on people's lives. David Wedgwood heads up our civil litigation and court of protection departments. David's expert knowledge and long experience informs inventive solutions to seemingly intractable problems. At times of crisis, he gives clear practical advice.
David Wedgwood has been selected by the Office of the Public Guardian to deal with the funds of people with disabilities. As an approved Court of Protection Panel Deputy, the Court and the Official Solicitor regularly instruct him to act on complex cases involving legal disputes. He has considerable experience in all aspects of the problems that people with disabilities face and regularly writes and lectures on these issues.
Clients come to David often after traumatic events or in moments of crisis. David trained as a social worker for people with disabilities before becoming a lawyer and so understands the very particular issues involved. David provides clear, practical advice, based on years of experience in dealing with such issues.
He leads a team of talented deputyship specialist solicitors. One of the ways David develops practical, thoroughly considered cost effective support for clients is by drawing on the skills and strengths of his team. A partner on the medical claims team, Jock is a dual qualified doctor and solicitor. He qualified as a doctor at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London in 1990, practising as a full-time hospital physician for nearly five years.
He qualified as a solicitor and also continued to work as a doctor part-time at St. Bartholomew's until 2004.
He has a broad clinical negligence practice but, due to his background as a hospital physician, he has a particular interest and expertise in cases involving complex medicine and rare medical conditions, general internal medicine and intensive care. Much of his work focuses on cases involving brain injury (adults and children), neurological, neurosurgical, and spinal injuries. He also has significant experience of cases involving treatment in the private healthcare sector.
Jock is a regular speaker at the Bond Solon Expert Witness Conference, and also delivers a 2-part lecture to expert witnesses for Bond Solon on clinical negligence.

Eleanor Kyle is a solicitor in the Housing and Property Disputes Department at Anthony Gold, based in our South London office at London Bridge.
Eleanor previously worked in community development, before retraining in law, at Queens University Belfast and University of Law, Bloomsbury. Before joining Anthony Gold she volunteered and worked for Hackney Community Law Centre, where she advised clients facing homelessness and welfare benefit difficulties. She joined Anthony Gold as a trainee solicitor, and completed a seat in the Commercial and Contentious Probate Department, before moving to the Housing Department, where she managed her own caseload of disrepair and nuisance claims.
She has experience advising tenants and leaseholders in disrepair and nuisance claims, discrimination claims, defending possession proceedings, and challenging homelessness decisions. She has acted for individual clients, and for clients who are part of group actions.
Emilia joined Anthony Gold as a Paralegal in the Wills, Trusts and Estates department in August 2023. She is based primarily in the London Bridge office. Emilia attended the University of Buckingham where she graduated with an upper second-class degree in 2020. She is currently studying her MSc LPC part-time at the University of Law.
Emilia comes from a Wills, Trusts and Estates background where she has learned how to obtain Grants of Probate, administer Estates, prepare Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney as well as complete Court of Protection applications. Emilia has also assisted with various complex Probates and Wills.

Florence is a trainee solicitor in the Injury and Medical Claims department, assisting Partner Jackie Spinks and Senior Associate Ben Simmons on a number of varied and complex Personal Injury claims.
She studied law at the University of Birmingham and spent a year studying abroad at the University of New Brunswick in Canada. She graduated with a 2:1 and was awarded a First for her year abroad.
After graduating, Florence worked at the National Centre for Domestic Violence. She helped run one of the legal teams and assisted vulnerable victims of abuse prepare their applications to court.
In January 2022, Florence completed the LLM Legal Practice Course at BPP University and was awarded a Distinction. She subsequently worked in Family law at a reputable legal aid law firm in London, before joining Antony Gold to commence her training contract in September 2022. Florence has extensive experience in client care and assisting the most vulnerable.
Freya is a so licitor in the Injury and Medical Claims department.
Freya joined the firm as a paralegal in March 2020, becoming a trainee solicitor in September 2020 where she assisted three partners with their high-value catastrophic personal injury and medical negligence cases. She undertook her second seat assisting two partners in the family department on a range of complex finance and children disputes.
Freya graduated with a 1st in Law from UCL in 2017 and graduated with Distinction from the Legal Practice Course with a Masters in Professional Legal Practice with the University of Law in 2019.
Emma Tante is a Partner at Anthony Gold Solicitors specialising in Court of Protection and is based in our London Bridge offices.
Emma has been recommended in the UK Legal 500 for several consecutive years. Most recently she was listed as a Next Generation Partner in the Legal 500 2023-2024.
Emma is a committee member behind the Professional Deputies Forum and is working closely with key stakeholders to develop Court of Protection practice, particularly through educational and training resources.

Anees began her career at Anthony Gold as a paralegal in 2018 and attained her LPC and LLM in 2021. She is a Solicitor in the Firm's Civil Litigation team.
Anees works closely with partners David Wedgwood and Beth Holden, and assists senior associates Tom Dickinson and Ryan Taylor with day-to-day case management and progression. Anees works on a variety of civil litigation matters, including fraud, professional negligence and contentious probate claims.
