Clifford M. Gross - CEO

Cliff is a successful executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience in academia and business. He is passionate about commercialisation of university discoveries to improve the quality of life. He founded three companies (Biomechanics Corp., UTEK & Tekcapital) which subsequently listed, where he served as CEO and Chairman and co-founded numerous private companies including HumanCAD, Salarius, Belluscura and Guident. Previously he was President and CEO of Innovacorp, the provincial venture capital fund of Nova Scotia. Cliff was Acting Director of the graduate program in Biomechanics and Ergonomics at New York University, Chairman of the Nelson Rockefeller Department of Biomechanics at the New York Institute of Technology and Research Professor at the University of South Florida. He has authored several books including Too Good to Fail: Creating Marketplace Value from the World's Brightest Minds and is a named inventor on more than 30 issued patents. A number of the ergonomic products he has developed became significant commercial successes including the DeWalt Cordless Drill for Black & Decker, The Parachute Chair for Knoll, the ergonomic mouse for Logitech, HumanCAD, the first PC based human CAD software and the flexible back belt, which is used to reduce back stress for individuals worldwide. Several of his products were included in a Smithsonian exhibit on ergonomic design. Cliff is a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. He received his Ph.D. from New York University and an Executive MBA from Oxford University.

Lord David Willetts

The Rt Hon Lord Willetts FRS is Chairman of the U.K. Space Agency, President of the Resolution Foundation and former U.K. Minister for Universities and Science. He served as the Member of Parliament for Havant (1992-2015), and previously worked at HM Treasury and the No. 10 Policy Unit. Lord Willetts is a visiting Professor at King's College London, former Chair of the British Science Association and a member of the Council of the Institute for Fiscal Studies. He is also an Honorary Fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford. Lord Willetts has written widely on economic and social policy. His book ‘The Pinch', which focused on intergenerational equity, was published in 2010, and he recently published ‘A University Education'. Lord Willetts is a graduate of Oxford University and has been awarded numerous honorary doctorates.

Louis Castro

Louis is highly experienced and well qualified Director and Chartered Accountant with some thirty years spent in industry and in financial services, including positions as Chief Executive, Finance Director and Non-Executive Director of several AIM listed companies. He was previously the CFO at Eland Oil & Gas plc where he had full executive responsibility for finance, legal, corporate finance and a budget of over $150m. He has held numerous board positions with both quoted public and private businesses as either a Partner or Director. Previously he worked in financial services, in corporate finance and capital markets, with particular specialism in the funding and advising of small and mid-cap companies across many sectors. Louis currently serves as a director of Green Park Oil and Gas and a non-executive director of Stanley Gibbons Group plc, Jangada Mines plc and Ascent Resources plc. She has audit background with companies such as KPMG, LLP and Berkowitz Pollack Brant, where she gained exposure to multiple industries such as retail, real estate, financial technology and hospitality. Monica is responsible for overseeing daily accounting activities, month-end close and assisting in financial reporting for Tekcapital and subsidiaries, including Microsalt Inc, Innovative Eyewear Inc and Guident Corp. Robert Miller

Robert practiced at the Mayo Clinic for twenty years, serving as a Physician-Executive before retiring as an Emeritus Professor in 2019. He served as Vice Chair of the national Mayo Clinic Cancer Center Practice Committee, overseeing cancer care delivery at all of Mayo's national sites, and was Medical Director Particle Therapy at Mayo Clinic Florida where America's first carbon ion radiotherapy facility is being built. He also previously served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mayo Clinic Health System - Albert Lea and Austin. He is the author of over 190 peer-reviewed papers. Robert has successfully led a series of national, NIH funded Phase III clinical trials searching for new pharmaceutical solutions to reduce symptoms of cancer therapy. He is currently Director of Radiation Oncology at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. Robert began his scientific career as a medical physicist at the University of Kentucky, before going on to graduate from medical school at the University of Kentucky. Robert also received an MBA from Oxford University. He is currently Director of Radiation Oncology at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee.
