David Ogwang

Job Titles:
  • Executive Director
David is Opportunity Africa's Executive Director and is responsible for the day to day management of the charity. Prior to OA, David ran his own charity, Right Africa, and has a breadth of experience in the community development, social care and microfinance sectors. He has a Bachelor Degree in Social Development and Counselling from Uganda Martyrs University and holds a Diploma in Social Work and Social Administration.

Father John Fisher

Job Titles:
  • Secretary of Education for the Masaka District
Father John Fisher is the Secretary of Education for the Masaka District and acts as an overall Advisor to Opportunity Africa. Father Fisher has acted as an Advisor to Opportunity Africa since inception and continues to monitor our work on the ground.

Gee Elliott

Having run Opportunity Africa's activities in Uganda from 2015- 2017, Gee is now responsible for operations from the UK and remains passionate about the role business can play in empowering communities across East Africa. She previously worked within the private equity real estate sector in London and New York and graduated with First Class Honours in Law.

Neil Cranston - Founder

Opportunity Africa was created by Neil Cranston in 1999 and was born out of Neil's belief that everyone in this world is entitled to some form of opportunity in life. In Neil's words - time has more value than money, the latter only helps the world go around. Opportunity Africa was registered as a UK charity in 2012 and to date all costs have been covered by Neil himself with no external funding.
