GIBBSTON BACK ROAD VINEYARD

Our philosophy is simple - natural and as organic as possible from the vineyard to the bottle. We consider ourselves custodians of the Gibbston Back Road vineyard and believe in letting the vines do what they do best, with minimal intervention... Gibbston Back Road Vineyard makes distinctive Pinot Noir wine from a singular vineyard in New Zealand's Central Otago region... Until 2008, we sold all the grapes from our vineyard to well known Central Otago wine companies. That year, we decided to make a small batch of wine for our own use, choosing four rows of vines to harvest enough grapes to make one barrel of pinot noir. That wine was a revelation to us, a pure and distinctive reflection of our vineyard, and in 2010 we made our first wine for the commercial market. Gibbston Back Road Pinot Noir 2010 was launched in June 2011.
