Anton Pijpers (1958) has served as President of the Utrecht University Executive Board since 1 October 2017. After he studied Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University, he worked as a veterinarian. He also obtained his doctoral degree at Utrecht University and was appointed as Professor in 1993.

Makeda Ferguson, master's student in Sustainable Business & Innovation and chair of the African and Caribbean Heritage Network;
Henk van Rinsum, former staff member and author of the book on Utrecht University's colonial past, to be published in October;
Chiara Stam participates in the weekly meetings of the Executive Board and other meetings relevant to policy development at the university level, such as the bilateral consultations with faculty boards, and the consultations of the Executive Board with deans. Her focus is on education and student-related issues. In order to be well informed, she maintains close contact with students and in particular the student assistants in the faculties, the student organisations and the students in the University Council.

Mirjam Bult (Vice President of the Supervisory Board, President of the HR Committee, a member of the R&D Committee) has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 1 January 2022. She works in the Advisory Division of the Dutch Council of State as a State Councillor. She is very familiar with the academic world from various roles. She was, among other things, Vice-Chair of the Executive Board of the University of Twente, a consultant at KPMG and Federation Secretary of the 3TU. Bult is a social-administration specialist and obtained her PhD at the University of Twente with a research project into public-private collaboration.

Bas Hendriks (a member of the Supervisory Board and the President of the Audit Committee) has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 1 January 2022. He is an administrator for the housing corporation Stadgenoot in Amsterdam . Hendriks studied Econometrics in Tilburg, and has previously worked as Financial Director at NS Reizigers, CFO at NS Stations, CFO at Qbuzz and as a Managing Consultant at PwC.

Rector Henk Kummeling: Because there is a need for more coordination and cooperation, this university-wide steering committee was created. The steering committee will receive budget and support and will link the implementation of activities. The steering committee will also lay existing initiatives alongside the Kennedy Committee report to see where gaps exist and additional efforts are desirable. In this way, we can really start shaping the 'accountability' that the Kennedy Committee rightly calls for.

Jeroen Cammeraat (a member of the Supervisory Board and the Audit Committee) has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 1 October 2023. He obtained his first-year diploma of Dentistry at Utrecht University. After graduating as a dentist at the University of Groningen in 1991, he fulfilled various positions at Philips Healthcare, including the position of Vice-President. His career at various enterprises in life sciences is characterised by knowledge transfer of academic research results. Examples of this are his involvement in companies in the fields of cancer therapy, dentistry and ophthalmology. In all aspects of his career, ICT plays an important role: in the fields of knowledge protection and privacy protection, and regarding the enabling of new impactful applications for society.
Professor John de Wit has been appointed the second Diversity Dean at Utrecht University. Diversity is not always visible.

Karin Laglas (President of the Supervisory Board and a member of the HR Committee) was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board as of 1 May 2020 and has been the President since 1 August 2022. She was the Board President of the housing corporation Ymere, which operates in the region of Amsterdam, until 1 June 2021. Before that, she was a Dean at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at Delft University of Technology and other places she worked at were OVG Projectontwikkeling, Rodamco Europe, MAB Group and, at the start of her career, Twynstra Gudde.

Aukje has been appointed Director of the Undergradute School of Science at Utrecht University since 1 September 2023. Before that, she served as the Director of the School of Pharmacy for over 9 years. In her educational management capacity she is member of a number of (international) committees and working groups. She is involved in the bachelor and master Pharmacy programmes as well as in the master Drug Innovation programme.
